I wouldn't mind Easter break, but I can also play. Any chance you could get a sub or someone spoiled to run your civ with instructions?
btw. I could run your civ in PB5, if you want but I need detailed instructions because of my spoiler status.

So here's a question regarding the 2 hour double move rule if you're last to play. Does it apply if your war opponent is logged on at the same time you are? I don't see any reason why it should. It isn't like I played last for advantage. And in fact as I was about to end turn just now MackSeven (one of them) is logged in and whacked one of my units, which is perfectly legal. But just because I end turn last am I not allowed to retaliate, even though they are online and available to oppose me?
I've gained no advantage by playing last and being online with an enemy unable to react. I think in this situation it wouldn't make sense to penalize me. But I accede to the rules governing this game.
Edit: And I accidentally hit enter to end turn so the point is moot for this turn. But this should be answered for any future occurrences.

Well, I'd think that they shouldn't be allowed to double-move the unit back out for another two hours at least, so if we'd keep it strict then in exactly two hours there is a couple-minute window.

Hey, to whoever is trying to log in that my firewall is blocking, I'm logging out. I can't do anything for now anyway.

It's just a rule. It's not supposed to be perfectly fair, it's supposed to be simple. That was the premise of this game, to do away with all the complicated restrictions to make things fair and just eat the lumps that come with it.
In this case it really doesn't matter. I haven't done any unit moves that affect you at the beginning of this turn anyway, just killed a barb. In fact I wouldn't mind at all if you were to move your units right after the turn rolled. That would be convenient for me because I could immediately respond to any potential invasions and then forget about stuff. But there's a rule, and I don't see a good reason to not follow it.

I understand that's the rule, this is just the first time I noticed this situation and thought it worthwhile to inquire further as to general opinion. The unfortunate part of this rule in its general application to my team vs. your team in this game is that you guys are more frequently available, so taking the lumps that come with this particular rule weighs more frequently against us than against you. I'm not saying that's fair, unfair, or otherwise. I also don't think I'll be the only person in a combat state that will be in this position during the game, so seeking further input would be worthwhile IMO.
As for the specific application to our game scenario, I know that it is immaterial in this case since you killed the unit in question just before I ended turn and I don't have another unit nearby to counterattack your attacking unit. However, if I had had another unit nearby to counterattack, I would not be able to. Why? Because Ichabod played quickly while I was logged in and playing (as is his right), thereby making me last to play, and subjecting me to the existing rule? Meanwhile your unit is free to flee to safety, so you get the end of turn attack without fear of reprisal.
I get that the rules are supposed to be simple. However, they are not etched in stone so if there is prevailing opinion that what I am proposing should be allowed, that would be the new rule. So, to the players:
If you are in a combat situation and your opponent is logged on when you end turn, should the 2 hour lock remain in place regarding your moves against the concurrently logged on player, or should you be able to move against them since you can't really double-move them in a way they can't react against?
So far it seems like we have one team vote for and one team vote against a rule change.

That's not even true by the way. You're the one who has control over when the turn ends. You could easily move a unit, end turn, and then move it again.

It is true, by the way, since as I end turn you could just as easily move the unit and avoid me double moving it. That's the part where you're concurrently logged in and have just as much opportunity to move a unit as I do.

Just like being signed up for a pitboss game doesn't imply you'll be available to play it at every moment of the day, being logged into one doesn't imply you are paying attention to a specific enemy unit with mouse pointer at the ready at any given moment, let alone at your computer.

But being logged in means you have the opportunity to take action. Meanwhile if you're logged in as I end turn, I do not have the opportunity to take action, as I am prevented from doing so by the current rules.
So we've stated our opinions, I'd like to hear some feedback from other people as well.
