[SPOILERS] Dazed and scooter play Stalin of Vikings and make a big mess

Brick did indeed move on the copper tile WITH our warrior. So the problem is if he goes past us, he's got straight forests to protect him on his way to our capital. So we declared war, which teleported us NEXT to his warrior. We then had 87.5% odds aaaaand:

Got him. *As you see - if we lose this, that's bad. Since we lost to the Bear (blah), we'd have 0 military units if we lost that battle lol. That meant 12.5% chance of blowing my microplan to bits, which made me feel not so great... The conservative play here would be to move 1E of the copper, declare war, and then fortify. That would definitely keep him out of our land... However, his response would likely be to move onto the plains forest hill, sit and heal up, and then make us have a pretty difficult time getting out of our land. Not something I wanted us to deal with, so we went for it. We then immediately offered Brick peace. I'm actually surprised he didn't run when he had a woudned warrior and we had a perfect health C1 warrior, but it's good for us. If he had run away, he could have lived, but by moving so aggressively he threatened us so we did what needed to be done.

Also, reminder to Dazed to stick a sign on that forest 1W of the capital to remind him that it's been prechopped smile. The excel sheet notes it, but it'd be nice to have that reminder so you don't have to consult the mildly tedious worksheet just to see which forest has been chopped into.

I didn't get the EP one but Brick and us are the same so he hasn't met anyone else.

Brick just got his second city. We're not really sure why it took him so long with two corns, a pile of forests, and IMP trait. Actually all of what's he's been doing is a mystery to us. He just finished a warrior right after we killed his explorer so who knows really.

Random note: Krill just got his second city. I note this because it's unusually late for him. Of course, he did settle a bit later, but not THIS much later. Krill always rushes his first city unless there are unusual circumstances. Just something I found interesting, can't really solidly conclude anything since I've only just been keeping a rough eye on city settling.

Just following micro for the capital. But two things of note:

That's a fish which makes that potential city site much much nicer.

There was no micro plan for SoF but switching from the FP to the Stone just seemed way better than slow building the WB. If you disagree scooter, let me know. I should be able to log in again later this afternoon to switch it before the turn rolls.

Nah that works good - I was going to suggest that too.

HAPPY EASTER!

In other news....

I misclicked with one worker so instead of starting the chop 44 of the capital, he moved 6 onto the sign. That will cost us 1 worker turn. frown Sorry about that!

Good news is that we're pretty much a lock to get hinduism since it's 1t from finishing. If someone else happens to finish Poly this turn as well, we'd be in a coin toss to decide who actually gets it.

Worker turn shouldn't be a big deal - just keep following the sheet for that worker 1T behind - it'll delay a forest chop but not the Pyramids. I did notice when I logged in yesterday that Scarlet was somehow 1H behind schedule which will turn out to be 2H on overflow. Not a big deal - I probably just did some math wrong somewhere. It shouldn't delay Pyramids either.

Also curious if we got Hindu. I THINK the other point increases were score only so it looks good. If so, we may want to consider a slight delay for northern exploration so that we can hook BOTH of the foods up by SoF (since it'll have a border pop) and let the city grow rapidly. With double seafood and stone it could make a nice early settler pump.

Happy Easter!

Important thign first, the micro worksheet is off. I think I worked the wrong tile last turn (PH instead of crab) so we have 8 more hammers going into the Mids this turn than you calculated. (190 vs 182 on the spreadsheet). Also we grew back to size 3 last turn not this turn so that was off too. However, most important is highlighted on this picture:

We'll grow again before we have a spare happy because we don't have a military police unit. frown Sad. I've tentatively moved to working the copper, clam, PH but I didn't end turn so you could give input. At this point, the unhappy face won't really help us finish the Mids so I didn't see the point of growing into unhappy when we could get 4 hammers with 150% bonus (10/turn) from the PH.

We DID land Poly and Hindu! Buddhism still hasn't fallen which is making me want to pursue Priesthood and Oracle for MC!!! Tentatively tech to pottery though since we need to decide together.

So we cobbled together a plan here. We're going to grab Oracle. Don't laugh. Briefly, the plan is thusly:

1) Finish Pyramids. Max-hammers at size 3 instead of growing to 4. (Once we get Mids, revolting to Rep will make our happy problems go away so we can continue our minimum military recklessness - also our western warrior will be a sentry that can spot Brick from a mile away).

2) Tech plan is Pottery now then Priesthood.

3) Build a settler

4) At tail end of settler, whip and overflow into Oracle. Oracle cost is 150h. Working max hammers we can get 2h (base) + 4h (copper) + 4h (mine) + 4h (other mine) = 14h base + 50% IND for 21h base. That's a pretty quick Oracle. We may save one chop for Oracle, we'll see.

5) Grab Metal Casting

6) Settler spam and when it's convenient slip in Colossus at our leisure (and of course we have copper and by then a forge and probably OR too so it'll be +200% modifiers).

Should be fun. thumbsup
