Oh right him. Forgot to mention my current plan for him. He's heading over to do a quick walkthrough of plako's land so I can get visibility of all of his cities here me. Then he'll wander up the eastern side of the mountains to walk through Comoxenu's land to then head back west. Off through LP's land and over to wherever the rest of the world is. I want to get contact with as many of them as possible, as quickly as I can. I'm going to need the research bonuses. Plus, I just don't really have anything better to do with a great spy right now.
So Speaker will just wander around, speaking to everyone, without them knowing he's there speaking to them.

Are you hoping Christianity hits your capital? in case you didn't know, religions never get founded in capitals (unless your capital is your only city).
If you knew that already, sorry, your sentence was a little confusing there.

Ah, ok. No, I didn't know that. In that case, I hope it hits either Dragon's Mouth or Mt Whacko. And then I'll send the free missionary to Puddle of Doom (my capital).
My capital currently has a sword, an axe, and I think even an archer all just 1 turn away from being completed. So once I get a religion there, I'll pop them out one after another.

well the free missionary for the later religion helps . FYI, there is a formula somewhere on Civ Fanatics to determine which city will get the founding, I don't think its completely random...

it's based on population, with some modifiers.
It's kind of a ratio - if you have 2 cities, one size 3, the other 1, i think the size 3 city would be 75% likely to get it.
There are two large modifiers against getting it: being the cap and every religion already in the city. Theoretically, you can get it in the cap if you have other cities, but it's pretty unlikely. Theoretically, you can get it in a city with a religion if you have one without it, but again, it's pretty unlikely.
it's most likely to go to the largest non-cap city without a religion in it.

In that case, it probably has the highest probability of landing in Dragon's Mouth. Which would be my top choice, if it's not in my capital. After all, as much as being in a city that would push against plako's borders would be a good thing in some ways....it would also cause him to toss some massive armies at me. The biggest annoyance with it being in DM is that it's a coastal flatland city. A little tougher to defend. Though right now, the only person I think I need to worry about might be yuri. If plako were to attack me, he would go through the other cities first.
Anyway, we'll find out in less than 10 hours where it shows up. I would have loved to see before going to bed tonight, but that's not going to happen. So the morning, it will have to be. Wish me luck in both getting it, and for it to be founded in one of the two cities I want it in.

based on what AT says, you could always go in and whip the cities you don't want it to go to!

SUCCESS!!!!
Just to be safe, this morning before the turn flipped, I whipped an Axe out of Hard Knocks to bring it down to Pop 3 (since Mt Whacko was also Pop 4).
Whether it helped or not, but Christianity has been founded in Mt Whacko. Probably the best location for it since it's on a hill, and plako doesn't have any roads near it. I'll want to get some Walls in it sooner rather the later, but that'll wait until after I've cranked out a couple military.
My Missionary went right over to PoD, and will spread the religion next turn. So since neither city will have a military unit completed this turn, I'm thinking I may hold off on converting and switching to Theocracy next turn.
I'm thinking I'll kick out about 5 or 6 military between the two cities and then switch to Organized Religion to make a missionary for Dragon's Mouth. And then switch back to continue with more units.
Other option depending on how safe I feel, I can stick with Organized Religion for awhile and build the Hagia Sophia. But I think I'm going to need a ton of military first (get myself to at least #5 on the list) before I can start on that. And I should have plenty of time before anyone else bothers with getting Theology and can build it.
I'm working on Mathematics next, since I need the better output for my chops. I've been holding off on a lot of my forest chops and I really need to get them all cut down.
Oh, and just realized on my own screen shot that now is time to put those units that have been stationed halfway between Dragon's Mouth & Mt Whacko back into my new holy city. plako is a good distance away, but I need to get fortified units in there ASAP. I'll move them back in when I get home tonight from work.

Got a question for anyone out there. Is there any chance at all of a religion spreading between Civs in an Always War game? Or is it a complete impossibility?
Also, in an Always War game....how does War Weariness work? Is there any? In a normal game, being at war for as long as we have been, cities would already be getting war weariness.

It is possible but very unusual. You have to have a trade path unfogged from the atheist city up to the border of the civ with the holy city, but NOT make contact with the owner of the holy city. Once you make contact, war starts, and religion can't spread through hostile territory.
Of course, you can conquer a city with religion to get it that way.

WW is half of normal in Always War. Time isn't what causes war weariness, it's units standing in enemy territory and killing or getting killed. Not much of that has happened yet.
