Also: Forgiveness, sir, I beg but it was past your bedtime and the turn looked unplayed, so I moved stuff, hit enter.

Commodore, sorry I haven't been much help lately. I got home late last night and checked the timer, saw I'd have enough time to play this morning before work, checked civstats and you'd already handled the turn. Good man.
In other news, it's finally time for me to really abuse my ded-lurker/teammate (and probably to hold up PBEM29g unless I get a sub there). It's moving weekend, so today I have to disconnect Internet service at my current house and turn in the equipment. I'm loading the moving truck and heading out of town over the weekend. I have to be at the new house for who knows how long on Monday for the new Internet service to be connected, so in the meantime I'm out of the game here in the pitboss game, and the PBEM game will be on hold at least until I can get my PC setup at the new house over the weekend. I can probably manage downloading and uploading the PBEM save with my phone, a USB cable, and a bit of patience, but no way I can connect to the pitboss (my phone is not jailbroken and my carrier wants to charge extra for tethering -- AT&T, go stuff it!). So, with those lame excuses posted the game is yours for a while, Commodore. I check RB frequently on my phone and write the occasional post that way, but nothing long because I don't have the patience to fire off a long missive with a phone.
Give 'em hell.

Whew, your timing is excellent. With German HBR online and our spears scrambling over towards the front still...
Um, ey boss, I'll try to keep the empire intact while you're out of pocket, but that might be a bit...rough.

Well no one expected us to win this game, with me being green and generally not very good at civ, making a mess of the opening, and being Mao of N.A. I met one of my goals in this game by not being the first to die, so that's good. We could have done worse with this game, honestly (or better! ), so if things go badly eventually that's the way it goes. Just cause as much harm as you can when they invade. If we make the costs too high we may just survive.

Whinges about self-inflicted crummy tech rates aside, we've plopped down another one. What we really need is a solid border set along the line, anchored on the clam coast, onto the "barrier city" hill, and then the two captives. If things had gone better and we owned Core #2 completely I'd feel great.
Still, at least we give the lurkers a chance to see Seven whining about his lot in life, and soon we're going to witness a battle between Pro NA and HBR-wielding Germans, that cannot help but be neat.

I hope ghetto commerce city grows quickly, we need every scrap of gold we can get. What's the ETA on Currency? And yeah, we've done our best to slow team Pyramids, but I still wonder if or efforts will be enough or if we're destined to eventually see damned European colonists overrunning our tribal lands. Of course, if LP ever gets tired of eating cities in the west he may come looking for us.
Here's a wild and irrational idea, considering our ongoing death struggle with MackSeven....What if we at some point built a workboat to scout west toward LP's capital? Any chance he'd lightly guard his rear? Maybe we could snipe and burn it? I know that would be rattling the bear's cage but it would greatly amuse me all the same! I think it's worth the cost of a WB to have a look. We can always say we're passing through to meet more people, which we should probably try to do anyway. Whaddya think?

So Plako's intervention is awesome, if indeed he's coming in, because that Academy flipped the wine tile next to Blackfeet. The rest...
Well, it was painful, but at least it was a bloody fight on the SMack-side too. We won the hammer exchange. I considered scraping together a reprisal force, but sadly those walls are intact and the revolt took only one turn to clear. Sorry boss.

Of all the luck, the walls stayed up. But now we can really say bad things about them in the diplo thread, aggression, warmongering Germans! They must be stopped!
I assume we're in trouble at Stone, too. Walls are up there, right? And can we cram in anything else to make it more painful? I think our role in this game is going to be spike strips to mackseven's shiny, fast car...maybe they blow all their tires and wreck as they run us over.

This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Ma-o's casinos.
We do what we must because we can.
For the good of all of us
Except the ones who are dead.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
And the science gets called and you make some neat walls.
For the people who are still alive.
Go ahead and leave me.
I think I prefer to stay inside.
Maybe you'll find someone else to help you.
Maybe the Dutch now...
THAT WAS A JOKE. Haha. FAT CHANCE.
Anyway, this cake is great.
It's so delicious and moist.
Look at me still talking when there's science to do.
When I look out there it makes me GLaD I'm not you.
I've experiments to run there is research to be done
On the people who are still alive
And believe me I am still alive.
I'm doing science and I'm still alive.
I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive.
While you're dying I'll be still alive.
And when you're dead I will be still alive.
Still alive
Still alive
