Nice game, badgerpendous.
Your game developed rather differently than mine (I remained friendly with Napoleon the entire game, and wiped out Fred first). Nice luck with the pops -- I could have used that iron pop, as I never had any the entire game. France grabbed the iron site south of Mecca, unfortunately. Nice work on the report -- this was only my second reported event as well. I think the gentle adventures are working at pulling in more players.
I wouldn't worry so much about the prose style...with so much going on iny any given game, it's hard to know what to leave out of a report.
Nice report. I liked the clean web layout, straight down the page, mixture of text and graphics. I also liked your font ... verdana!
Well done on the victory and report.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Ruff - I likes me some sans serif, and that's what the google page thingy likes, apparently. Actually, despite using the page wizard stuff (I prefer to hand edit my HTML...), I am happy enough with the google page. I like a minimalist look, so this works for me. I like your new design a lot, especially the color... Hap - yes, between huts and resource pops, I'd say I got more than my fair share of luck. I'll take it, though it would be nice to save some of that for my other, current CivIV passion: Warlords/Hatty prince pangea conquest victories.  Swiss Pauli - sage advice! Thanks, a.badger
hi badger, welcome to the reporting side, nice to meet you. i hate you, because of "Pop Another One (Silver in Medina)." you even got TWO! well ok, i don't really hate you. but i am jealous, because when i popped a spare iron at Peepsville i reallllly would have loved to have popped silver or gems instead. ps don't tell haphazard about that please, since he didn't even have iron.
your report did make me giggle, except for the parts that made me jealous. "(and it appears she lacks metals, because all I see are archers and chariots)" i'll mention this since it sounds like you might not know. if you have something, and a trade route to person X, then anything you have that X doesn't, will show up as tradeable to X. even if you have only one source of it. so you can use that to tell if they have something or not, but only if you have it yourself. since you have both iron and copper, if cathy showed she'd take both in trade, you know she's lacking any metals of her own. i never ever ever go to war early. one exception ... my neighbor is hatty, i have horses and a trade route, and she wants horses in trade  . that is literally the exception that makes the rule!

Thanks for the kind words! Actually, I do know about the trading resources thing, but I'm so notoriously lazy when it comes to checking the screens! Even in the late game, I'll often forget to check for defensive pacts...  I've been trying to work on my diplomatic game recently. I've been attempting culture and spaceship victories with the goal of not being declared on for the whole game. a.badger

such blasphemy! i'm amazed my own F4 key still has any lettering on it, what with the frequency i press it. *giggle* it often works ... i didn't get declared on in epic11 by anybody but monty, which will probably continue to amaze me until Civ2050 comes out. good luck with your attempts .
