Oledavy, Mackoti, and I played a 120 turn CTON type game today (random civ+leader). I was Montezuma/France in the bottom left-hand corner, right next to both edges of the map. Oledavy was Exp/Org Greece to my northeast, and Mackoti was Cre/Org Zulu to my east.

The early game was uneventful enough. I managed to kill both of their starting scouts with fast-moving warrior. Sorry about that guys. Just a little more MP experience with those sort of situations.

I expanded pretty quickly, having a really strong capital with Corn, Rice, and Copper, and a bunch of river tiles nearby. I made good use of my spiritual trait, swapping into Slavery, Judaism, and Organized Religion. I was able to fog-bust Greece's horse and Zulu's copper, so by keeping an eye on the tile yield, could tell exactly when their units could start being trained. I saw a chariot or two from Zulu, but that was pretty much it. I played it somewhat safely, and always had a couple spears and axes on hand, and a pretty decent sentry net.

I was pretty far ahead in most categories, especially GNP and Crop Yield, but I knew that Mackoti had access to more land than I did because my east was all desert, so once I got Horseback Riding+Construction, I started two-pop slaving a huge army.

You can probably notice the point on the graphs where I started making heavy use of the whip.

I got the artist from Music and did a defensive bomb on my front with Oledavy (Greece), and kept that side very lightly garrisoned. I think I only had one War Elephant, a couple swords, and a catapult or two up there, but my culture was pushed all the way up to his border.

Once I got currency, I moved my army out, with 4 workers helping provide combat roads. I moved in on Mackoti with something like 10 War Elephants, 8 Catapults, 10 Swords/Axes, a couple spears, and a sentry Horse Archer, with another 7 or 8 horse archers catching up. At this point, Mackoti conceded, having a two-city front, and a decent army, but not enough to hold out, and some pressure from his wife to come help bathe the baby. Oledavy also conceded at this point. We played 90 turns before ending.

Here is a final shot of my land:
