@pindicator - You're obviously free to non-threateningly position your units however you want inside your own land, but like I offered Mali a few turns ago, I'm happy to commit to not harassing workers improving the land at your front city. If you'll let me improve in peace the three tiles I have that touch your culture I'll promise not to mess with workers on any of the tiles I have visibility on.

Just keep in mind that after Sunrise promised me that, he proceeded to double move a border city.

Fixed :neenernee
We can debate separately whether my attack was justified or not, and whether it was executed honorably or not (I'm already on record as saying it was dastardly overall, but this is AW...) but that's a separate issue as to whether I honored any sort of deal. In fact, even though we didn't make the deal over the worker situation I still didn't try to grab the workers there even though I could have made a play for them.
I've not broken one deal this game and I plan on keeping it that way. If I act aggressively anyone is welcome to take offense, but we're not playing co-op vs AI Always Peace here Anyone who would like complete safety from me is welcome to negotiate an NAP. I personally take the near total absence of such deals from this game to be a sign everyone wants to keep their options open, and frankly that means civs will take advantage when they see other civs in a vulnerable position that can be exploited.

I take it as a sign of people having read the rules.

???
You mean that deals aren't binding? Um...what RBP game have you played in where we had outside collateral on in-game deals?
A NAP with me in this game is worth exactly as much as it is in any other game. If other people want to not keep their word here that's their call, and I expect others will remember it going forward.

So how about a NAP between us, Sunrise? As you can no doubt see, we're one of the few nations in this game that hasn't declared war on you. We believe deeply in maintaining peaceful relations with nations we haven't met, such as your own. That's got to be worth something, right?
