I might be screwed here. We're about to start the game and this start favors Yuri and Egypt tremendously. He has Wheel and Agr as starting techs. The only food resources besides a couple FPs in the capital area is a grasshill pig. Yuri was going ot go for AH first anyway to find his horses, but now he gets to pasture his pig before me. I could beeline AH but I need Agr-AH or Hunting-AH. And then I would need to grab BW to find copper for spears. And that is a huge priority. I can't take the chance that Yuri gets AH + horses straight off the bat and rushes me with WC before I have a chance to get copper and spears. I'm going to be starting slow it looks like. The good news is that there is Marble in my capital BFC and Yuri did not settle towards it. Instead he settled towards the FPs and his Marble will require another settler. This means less competition for Oracle, which I was hoping to rush out.
Dunno. I've got to focus or I'm not making it out. We're going to play on Gamespy though so that will give him less time to think about decisions and I think that will favor me.
