This game seems like a bit of a variation on the theme in that he had to conquer some people first.

That's why I said after the first 100 turns. Parkin's a great player. I'm sure he realized early that he wouldn't be able to farmer's gambit to victory with only his starting land (Seven realized the same thing). Hence an all-in rush, which was successful. From that point it was back to the default strategy - keep a super low profile, don't try to talk a big game, and rocket ahead in demos.

Yep, I'm 12 points in the lead with other nations beating my GNP by 100+ points... clearly it's game over, I've won already.

When your tech is turned on you have top GNP buy a 100 beaker margin, or is that someone else? If it's someone else I'd love to know who it is since it sure as heck isn't any of the generally high-teching civs I have demos for.

The bulb, if that's what it was (I didn't log in to see), was not Machinery.

So this is my suggestion. Those of you that surround Azzaland, and I'm sure there's got to be at least a few of you, just need to organize something. I'm sure there's at least three of you out there that can send troops that way for some attacking and razing of cities (after all, you don't need to quabble over who gets to keep what....just destroy it all), and I'm sure your neighbors will be willing to not attack you while you are sending your troops to wreak havok in the lands of LP.

I have 3 neighbours, one of whom is Parkin, and another I only just bordered.

I've LP's graphs. He is the #1 hitting over 300 every now and then.
