I've made a number of maps for diplogames at Apolyton, and for a couple of pitboss games at WePlayCiv.
I made this FFH2 map which is the most downloaded Civ4 fantasy map on CFC: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads....le&id=8140
I did an Orbis version of it too, and others did a FF version. Its one of the most popular FFH2 maps out there.
And I did a rather popular map for Colonization too:

Anyhow, I've always wanted to try playing some multi-player FFH2, you guys got Pitboss to work? I'd be extremely interested in participating in a FFH2, Pitboss, Role Playing Demo game. Think there is a chance of one of those starting up? Maybe get CFC involved? I never even heard of this site before a day or two ago when this Multi-Team Demo Game started being discussed. Then I saw you had a lot of FFH2 games here.

Ozzy - thanks for volunteering to make a map. I think Commodore is working on a map, and I'd hate for you to spend effort on making a map that's not going to be used. Give us another day or two to get our act together.

Yes; the Erebus in the Balance mode created here by Sareln, and Tholal's mod at CivFanatics both have a bugfix that makes Pitboss possible. See this thread on CivFanatics.

Best advice: start a thread here and/or at CivFanatics to scare up some interest in your game. I have no interest, but I remember enough of the Civ2 diplogames at Apolyton to know that there was a group of people who really enjoyed that format.

Aye, as stated by Plako, you're welcome to be a dedicated lurker for our team in the mean time. I promise you that any suggestions/ideas you have will be properly considered.
It's kind of you to offer your mapmaking services. You sound like you'd do a fantastic job. Since Commodore may have already started, i'll leave the ball in his beautiful grassland gems filled court.

But how on *earth* do you roleplay in FFH2?

Commodore - assuming you're making the map, could you state your ideas concerning it. I'm ok also with mystery map, but I'd like to hear your current "job description" .

Ah, nice. It really is great to have you guys on-board for this game. I can't wait for this to begin!

I guess you just read the lore for that respective leader, try and get a feel for their personality and go from there, letting your creativity run wild. I tried to do a roleplay style thread in PBEM31 (non-FfH though). I won't be doing that in this game as it simply takes too long and I am involved in a few games now.

That would be cool as we could then begin the snake picks which means we can begin planning.

Speaking of which, would an general lurker please go to random.org (or your randomization device of choice?) and give us a pick order?

1) Thoth, Mardoc, Ellimist
2) Hart, fantasticsid, TheBold
3) Kyan, plako, DaveV
4) Nabaxo, Amelia, WarriorKnight
edit: For clarity, the above written team-order is from the first post of this thread and the sequence in which the pick comes from random.org.
edit2: And I guess you guys do a snake-pick? So 3-1-4-2-2-4-1-3-3-1-4-2?

Thanks Serdoa. Much appreciated.

I guess so? If Commodore is on board with plako's previous description:
eg. lakes with 10% water. Rest up to your discretion.
We could probably begin the picking.
