Seems like you balanced you conquest well to avoid the economic black hole that T-Hawk had in his game.

Yeah. So, I blackmailed 150 gold from Huyana and then declared war (you really shouldn't be allowed to declare war after demanding and receiving tribute)

Yes this is changed in BtS. After a tribute is demanded (and given) a peace-treaty for 10 turns is in effect.

Ahh, I was wondering why I kept getting mysterious 10 turn peace treaties in BtS. That's a good new rule. I pulled the same move on HC this game (declaring war immediately after tribute) and thinking about it, it is a little unfair.

Anyway, well played Darrell. I agree that the challenge level was spoiled somewhat by the unexpected AI incompetence. I think BtS does improve things in this area a lot, and would like to see it quickly displacing vanilla as the new standard competition game version.
