So I have some free time on my hands as of recently and there is a dearth of enjoyable online shooters at the moment, so I am prepared to give LoL another go.

I am sure I am very, very terrible compared to most players on this site. At this point, I have played about 10 games against the AI in the past 2-3 days just to get familiar with the mechanics again. The only two heroes I have played are Garen and Morgana. I am much better with Garen than Morgana, but I have spent 90% of my time with Garen because someone recommended I buy him when I downloaded the game a year ago.

I am pretty unfamiliar with RTS games and MOBA games, but I don't suppose I am the worst player on LoL. If I play with five randoms against the AI, I am usually the best or second best player on the team, but that isn't saying much considering the randoms on there usually leave me to mid with Garen.

I am currently only a Rank 11. I have 15-20 RB'ers on my friends' list. I am also capable of doing Teamspeak or whatever else people are using on here nowadays. If someone sees me on and is willing to show me the ropes, I am interested in trying to learn and improve.

Come join and/or watch the Tuesday YouTube night. I'll be running it in a few hours, starting at 6pm EST (3pm PST). Even if you don't want to play an actual game, you can learn a ton just by watching how the teams interact and communicate. I try to explain what I'm doing while playing, to make up for the fact that I'm not a 2000 Elo pro player.

Speaking as another West Coaster... They once long ago kept going until 7 or 9pm PST. Not sure if that's true anymore. I've since become busy on Tuesdays.

So, new topic. Can I say the new lolreplay client w/ spectator is AMAZING????

I recorded a game from spectator mode, and you get EVERYTHING. Full fog-of-war, health bars even if you weren't looking there, the pings, time dilation, ability to jump forward and backward in the replay (not even SC2 has that feature!), all the hotkeys and switching which FoW you see from spectator mode. It's kinda awesome sauce.

Unfortunately, recording a replay while playing in the game is still somewhat the same (I think? Haven't done a full vetting yet). No jump back feature, only one-side FoW, etc.

However, if you get someone to record the replay in spectator mode, it's a caster's wet dream.
