well lets go those horses connected. yes spears can counter chariots, but why not force him to build extra units? And we have axeman to counter those spear, we'll just hafta wait for him to make a mistake =).

Yup, Gold, then Horses. Still haven't scouted the southern jungles yet, though. Yeah, Ancient era warfare will be tough for us. Hopefully we'll have grown bigger (hah!) than him and will be able to suicide Archers again.
This war's gone well, though. We've lost two Archers and one Axe to kill three Dog Soldiers and one Warrior. 52 hammers vs. 70 hammers could've gone worse.
We really did get lucky, though. First of all, we won the coin flip battle back on T17 or something and pillaged Tankra's wheat farm. That set him back. Then we lucked out when the south had Copper. Then we lucked out winning at 28%, 50.5%, and 55.8%.
Anyway, about 55.8%...
Wow, I love being Expansive.
Power:
Tankra just doesn't seem so scary anymore, at least in the short term. The power graph will change next turn when it takes into account us losing an Axe and an Archer and Tankra losing an Axe. Still, that's a pretty big power drop. However, on the flip side, Tankra's pulled ahead of us in crop yield and production. I don't think we can do anything with our army except stand guard and wait for the next wave of invaders.

Tankra offered white peace, and I accepted. Strangely, Tankra renamed himself 'Dr. Awkward' and his empire 'Tons o' snot.' Also, it turns out peace treaties don't scale down with quick speed. It's still 10 turns.
I'm sending an Archer from the south to try to find a nice forest hill to watch over Tankra. I'm sending an Axe north to fortify on a forest hill to watch for invaders. SAT fortified a Warrior near Krakatoa to keep watch over me.
Everything is going to plan. Aral Sea finished its Archer and grew to Size 2. I'm going to chop a forest on some riverside grasslands to get another Worker built. I chopped a forest at Krakatoa:
Still loving Expansive. We'd be pretty good if we hadn't gone to war. Still, I think we'd be in worse position if we hadn't attacked Tankra. He'd have more Dogs or Dogs sooner.
In foreign news, Nicolae settled a new city. He hasn't named it yet. Also, he's renamed his civilization 'Immunologists.' SAT's power is rapidly rising. Our power dropped, but we're still ahead of them. Someone founded Buddhism last turn. Stonehenge hasn't been built yet.
Demographics:
SAT has 38 GNP! (Their GNP also spiked this turn.) Dead last in food and production... hope building armies of Workers will fix that. I'm pretty sure we look worse than Tankra because his capital is Size 4. Pretty sure 'Rival Best' in Soldiers is SAT. They look like they're pulling away from the pack, but it's still a bit too early to tell.
Did I remember to switch to Mysticism? I think I did...

Everything is still going according to plan. Settler and Worker both complete in four turns.
After the Settler, I think we should build a Granary while growing. Krakatoa lost an angry face, and will lose another one in six turns. We should at least grow onto the Ivory, and after that a mine/cottage if we want.
Sian whipped something big; he dropped to the bottom of the scoreboard.

Played turn, Sian completed Stonehenge. Everything is still going according to plan.
To be honest, I don't think we'll win this. Doesn't mean I won't stop trying, though.

The Worker finishes in Aral Sea next turn. We'll have enough overflow to almost complete a Work Boat. Aral Sea's anger has almost worn off, I'll probably whip another Worker at Size 3.
I'm sending an Archer to scout the southern jungles. I'll post an update on that when I've actually found something worth updating about. Still stuck at rock bottom of the scoreboard. I think Tankra's score is inflated by land area, though.

The Worker finished. I sent one Worker to build a road from Aral Sea to the third city, two workers to build a road from Krakatoa to the third city, and one worker to build Mines around Krakatoa. Might have been better to chop, though.
The Work Boat completes in two turns by working the desert Copper. I think the food loss is worth it.
Mysticism rolled in. Our research rate is terrible right now. I think we should head up to Writing before the religious techs. I don't see us going for the Oracle or a religion down there. Incidentally, SAT already has Writing! (I guess they are Academic!)

still, can we afford libraries?
What is our breakeven rate? If its not too low, we might still be better served by a 4th city - especially if we can claim the flood plains and stick archers in it.
