There's an option in the latest LOLReplay that allows you to record all of your games in spectator mode, which gives you all of the above stuff even for games you played in. However, you need to wait 3 minutes after the game for the spectator stream to finish.

(and yes, it is awesome)

Sullla, Are you just casting the Ipl finals or am I missing something? I think it's the first...

I am sure I am very, very terrible compared to most players on this site. At this point, I have played about 10 games against the AI in the past 2-3 days just to get familiar with the mechanics again. The only two heroes I have played are Garen and Morgana. I am much better with Garen than Morgana, but I have spent 90% of my time with Garen because someone recommended I buy him when I downloaded the game a year ago.

I am pretty unfamiliar with RTS games and MOBA games, but I don't suppose I am the worst player on LoL. If I play with five randoms against the AI, I am usually the best or second best player on the team, but that isn't saying much considering the randoms on there usually leave me to mid with Garen.

I am currently only a Rank 11. I have 15-20 RB'ers on my friends' list. I am also capable of doing Teamspeak or whatever else people are using on here nowadays. If someone sees me on and is willing to show me the ropes, I am interested in trying to learn and improve.

Please feel free to add me in-game. (Summoner name = Platot) I`d be more then happy to queue with you while you level and maybe we can learn together.

Here's a Rakalakalili lesson which is very useful for AD carries. The player he's critiquing is Tristana, and he talks a lot about when to use your skills correctly as Trist (Alindu, something we were talking about the other day)

That there is a pretty good lesson. A lot of useful tips on positioning and game mechanics presented in that video.

After watching this lesson i`m starting to understand I need to step down from my "I did my homework" that seemed to work so well while leveling.

In solo games that are low levels it is so easy to think you know what you are doing. I play many games where I feel like I carry the team as an AD.

Of course I know I haven`t even scratched the surface in terms of understanding the game but it`s really hard to not think you know a lot more then everybody else while you are playing low level games since most people are clueless.

Now, one of the problems I have in low level solo games currently is countering extremely (to the point of idiocy) agressive lanes.

I see him calling again and again in the lesson about how much CS is important, much more important then early agression in most cases, the problem is in low level games nobody cares about CSing that much, if you move in to get a last hit you can be sure everyone is going to jump you even if it kills them. They will sit in bushes forever and not even farm if they can get another jump on you. Now ok, you could say that it doesn`t matter, if they aren`t farming, stay safe and you`ll be ahead of them in time. I get that, but the problem comes when you are a squishy against two tanky/bruisers that care nothing about their own survival or farming, of when i`m the AD and my support (usually it isn`t a support, it`s just someone else) will either feed them early (and curse at you for not suiciding with them) or will be super passive and just let you get all the bullying. Of course, being low level games, there is usually no jungle or he isn`t good or smart enough to spot an early overextended lane.

The anwser for me is probably just better understanding and training, but still I feel like low level games have their own meta game. smile

kayapo - learn to jungle. Few people jungle at lower levels, and you can farm the jungle all day without having to fight idiots for minions. While everyone else is running around fighting endlessly, you can farm to your heart's content and punish the many, many times that someone on the other team is overextended.

I really think that's the best approach. People at lower levels of play are so terrible that you need to be either jungling or playing solo middle lane, and you face 10x the competition to get that mid lane.

Sullla, In those casts of yours... Tom doesn't get to speak much. It feels to me that your taking 75% of the cast. Just my thoughts.

To add upon that: I am recently leveling up an EUW account which is currently level 17, I've been jungling Alistar since level 1. When I played premades with my friends they would leash my blue so well I could have started with boots + pots. If I only got a basic one, I'd just Cloth + 5 pots or start off in the lane with boots. Get blue, roam into a lane, kill it.

Generally I'd get ridiculously fed. Jungle Alistar doesn't really need to clear camps if you don't have runes, all you have to do is get buffs/camps every Smite cooldown. You should be able to get really fed in low level games and proceed to become a ridiculously powerful bruiser (with Triforce and a handful of CDR items like Shurelya; Black Cleaver is another powerful offensive option after Triforce)

Every level up I would add another Armor rune (in any possible slot) and another mastery point in the defense tree to become more self-sustained. Skill order for jungle Cow is QWE, R>Q>W>E.

If you have a few levels under your belt and can buy Tier 3 runes, the easiest jungles to learn are, IMHO: Amumu, Warwick, and Dr Mundo. Amumu remains a very powerful tank since his release and does extreme amount of damage (particularly with an AP off-tank build), he also has some of the best initiation in the game. Go R>E>Q>W with him. . Warwick is a slow jungler but he doesn't die in the jungle and has guaranteed kills at level 6. He's also simple to play. Go WQQ, R>Q>E>W with him. Mundo is a great jungle farmer and a late game bruiser, start with WEWQ or WEQ, go R>W>Q=E.

Note that in theory you can play all those junglers with just the Tier 1 runes (assuming you invest all of them into armor), it's just that they will have some problems overall (Amumu and Mundo have sustain problems, Warwick has speed issues) while Alistar just kind of roams and gets fed from nooblord lanes really easily.

It helps if you are duo-queuing with a competent middle laner, too.

I used the sale on Taric and Morgana to pick up those two champs this weekend, but I haven't used either.

Right now I can play with these:

Garen--Spent far and away the most time with him.

Ashe--Others are likely WAY better with her.

Shen--Bought him on Friday. Love him. I suck with his ult.

Dr. Mundo--Trying to learn to jungle because I also noticed no one does it at low levels. I have gotten better at clearing jungle, and once I can grab a Warmog/Atma, he is useful even mid/late at low levels. Just so much late game sustain. But my map awareness is still bad, so I suck at ganks.

I also own Kayle and Tristana, but haven't used either in ages.
