Nice hammering LK, pretty much a non-stop snowball of killing death for the AI in your game. Did you have to face a lot of Dog Soldiers in your initial rush against Sitting Duck?

I only hit a handful of them. They were in the city where I lost the 10 axes IIRC. 2 of the cities were only well promoted archers. SB wasn't at all ready for me to show up with a serious CR axe stack.

Nice all out war effort. As I discovered the best strategy for corporations is spread the franchises from the Wall Street city to the friendly nations. The income benefits ramp up pretty quickly that way. Spreading them to your own cities is hardly a break even proposition unless you need an undiscovered resource somewhwere, like Aluminium or Oil. I noted that the maintenance on a local branch exceeds the benefit by something like 60%.

'Course you didn't have many friendly nations left after your romp up the neck!

Another way to play the corporate game is establishing a colony or three, then granting independence. You get both the income boost and the happiness boost from "We influence other nations" effect.

Quote:I was already starting to sense what Joao's AI personality is like. Anyways, I didn't declare on Hammurabi because most other leaders liked him and I didn't need any negative modifiers. I also declined Joao's Polytheism demand since he was pathetically weak and I had a feeling making him a friend probably would not carry many benefits.
Yeah he's pretty needy.
But in my game he offered himself as a Vassal to me after I befriended him.
Needy AND clingy :D.

Nice report. It seems from a few reports that in BtS culture is now a less tedious peaceful victory than a spaceship. Also people seem to be completing culture wins earlier than in Warlords. Either that or the community is just getting better at them; learning that with specialists, representation and not the culture slider you can keep up in tech and culture up quickly at the same time.

Excellent cultural win.
Quote:To me, the best time to pursue cultural is with 2 production cities and 1 GP farm.
If you had neither Marble, nor Stone, would you go cultural at all?

As khmer, I went for Culture with no marble, no stone, no holy cities and only 2 religions for much of the game wink. In my favor I did get a little bit of culture from quests/events, although only about +7.

Yeah, I liked your use of Corporations, though with my level of play I think I'll only get deep enough in the tech tree to grab Sid's Sushi. Getting other Corps will stretch out, not shorten, the end-game.
