(For anyone new reading this: Aggressive has been proven time and time again to be a very weak trait. No economic benefit at all. With literally everything possible available, this is a very weak pick.)

I banked on Ragnar after realizing there were a few multiplayer civs in there who value Agg a bit too highly.

For the record, the last two ISDG's the Germans were involved in, they picked Qin (in Civ4 when he was Fin/Ind) and Pacal (Fin/Exp). So I'm betting quite heavily on them picking Huayna, but I guess I can't change my vote on #2 as I picked Huayna for #1.

Maybe WePlayCiv are hoping for Rome to stick around to a final pick? That's my guess anyway... either that or intending to early rush.

They could try and pair it with Zulu for cheap Ikhandas to reduce city maintenance while also having early rush potential. But yeah, there's much better picks available.

You are overthinking this. They picked Ragnar because they don't know what they are doing. This is quite literally the same group of people who formed the Templars in the Apolyton game. Hercules (Templar turnplayer) is on the WPC roster.
