Occasionally you see people at different sites with similar or even identical usernames that aren't related to one another, especially when they're relatively generic like that.

Regardless of their reasoning, it's a weak pick and one that we can be very happy about. I can realistically see India falling to us and that makes me very happy indeed.
Hope you're not too bored of them just yet Sullla SevenSpirits Wrote:It's some sort of tiebreaker. I guess I don't know if just being closer counts for anything, or if you have to guess exactly right. I'd hope the first tie-breaker is "number exactly correct." Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
So we might end up with Emperor/Toroidal. Fun for maintenance. >.>

SleepingMoogle Wrote:So we might end up with Emperor/Toroidal. Fun for maintenance. >.> Yeah, been there, done that, killed the game because it was destroying people's lives... Emperor/Toroidal/Raging Barbs = TGW becomes awesome. None of this PB3 chop-it-out-on-like-T75-because-why-not (with the same general map settings, too!).
Emperor/Toroidal/Raging Barbs is just stupid... but apparently it's what we might end up with. Certainly Emperor/Toroidal anyway. Basically, with Raging Barbs and all the rest, whoever gets the Great Wall stands a reasonable chance of winning the game. Why are we setting up a game where there's automatically "one right path" from the very start? One would almost think some teams would rather have a cheese game vs the AI, than vs each other.
But oh well, we'll play with what we get I suppose.
Huge-Toroidal-Emperor-No Tech Trading-Normal is a really, really dumb map setup for multiplayer, especially with 9 teams of varying levels of commitment.
Tech pace will be glacial. Early war will be impossible. Maintenance will be crippling. If this game doesn't get smothered in the cradle it will be abandoned out of boredom in short order. Looks like it'll just be regular barbs. |
