given the heavy maintainence, i'd actually at least give passing concerns to Sumeria, specially if gettin HC (early Zig's mix nicely with a Oracle run)

Not to mention the early EPs, and Sumeria does start with Ag / Wheel. Still, with this many "good" picks avaiable I'm not sure about Sumeria

I believe 29 showed how strong Sumeria is when on a map on High Maintainence ... and this map certainly aren't going to be easier on Maintainence ... and with spying on the EPs are another bonus ... then who cares that Vulture is rather average

Key thing to consider with Sumeria: How much do we want an early Code of Laws - and more to the point, Civil Service? Bearing in mind that it's along the quickest path to Bureaucracy, which is going to be massive in a game with high maintenance and slow research.

Then again, 45 hammer early Courthouses would be really useful for early expansion... not to mention the extra EP's. Still not sure it beats the alternatives though. Sumeria without Organized is a bit meh.

Yeah... China would be even better for that reason. It's the only Agri/Mining civ as I recall.

Wonder if Mining/Mysticism was on CFC's mind when picking India. In a beeline that enables the Great Wall fastest, though at the (probably silly) cost of Worker techs.
