Luckily for us, War Chariots are much earlier than Praets. And if they want a large number of them in time, they don't want to be building military before Praets.

How about some Mackoti-style chariot diplomacy?

So we have a map. Once the last two teams pick Huayna Capac and Rome we will have leader/civ picks. How much more sausage-making before we can get this train-wreck rolling?

Heh, we might see a game without a single Industrious leader. That's interesting for sure.

Mansa Musa of India is going to be crazy slow to start up. Only benefit from either they will see for a long time is slavery. Just getting any cottages is going to require Wheel, Agriculture (or Fishing of course), plus Pottery, plus if they don't get bronze working first or second they are throwing away their worker advantage. Late game, SPI and FIN are not particularly synergistic and SPI is mostly useful for specialists. Big whiff for CFC IMO. I would prefer in their position Huayna or Bismarck. IND leader would be nice since they have mysticism and fast workers.

Hmm, so they were keen on Spiritual too. I think that was a mistake though... they had the option to be guaranteed the only Industrious nation. With Huayna Capac, no less. I would have gone with the default combo for Inca myself, but each to his own. Izzy's good of course, just seems like a bit of a lost opportunity.

So, no Industrious leaders in the game. Early wonders will be fair game for anyone who gets the tech in time, and everyone with Marble/Stone will be on an even footing. That's brilliant news for us.

I only wish we'd taken HC now... though then I guess someone else would have got Pacal. Fair trade though, I'd say - but maybe that's just me.

Actually, since there's only 1 choice to go and he's on 4 points vs 2 points from the nearest rivals, Nabaxo's already got this game in the bag. But let's see if he manages that final 5th point.
