How can you tell? We are talking about that plains hill right?

I think 2S of the Fish is coast. Going clockwise from there unknown, grassland, grassland, grassland, grassland hill?. South of the Corn is grassland. 3N of the Corn is grassland hill?. 2N of the Fish is grassland. Actually I see no evidence of any forest in the fog huh.

Full disclaimer: I suck at reading the bleeding.

Darrell

2S of fish is a hill forest, not coast, I think. You can see the trees in the bleed.

Always nice with a new challenge, I suppose.

I didn't understand this comment. frown

We'll get one of Sury, Willem, Bismarck or Capac, so I'm cool about our picks. I expect Pirates or Menagerie to come with some not so usual pick, though. I wouldn't be surprised if Pirates go for Peter (EXP/PHI).

There is one commerce in the hill tile.

PBEM17 - Novice+Spaceman played Sury of India. It was continents+islands map where they landed both GLH and Pyramids that would have sealed the win for them. This was recognized by their opponents that led to pretty brutal dogpile 4vs1 including several deals getting broken in the process. Darrell was one of the other players.

I would be ok avoiding Sury, if Novice thinks it is too much repetition.

Very good catch. That tile must be a diagonal from a river bend that happens in the tile 1NW. I can't see another way of a commerce being in that tile. That means the tiles 1N, 2W and 2N, 1W of the wine are also riverside (not a game changer, but there you go :neenernee)

PBEM17 reference, where nospace played Sury of India with a similar game setup. They built the Pyramids+Great Lighthouse and had won the game by about turn 50, so we collectively decided to dogpile them (breaking deals in the process). Its probably the most dastardly act in RB history, although Athlete attacking Slaze with his own army is close.

Edit: Beaten to the punch by plako, and gee I somehow neglected to mention I was one of the deal breakers [Image: mischief.gif]

Clever nod.
