Not much happened while I was gone. Rowain is being Rowain and spiting me by literally handing Mattimeo all his centers. Pretty awesome.

It's ok though, Mattimeo is behind me in centers and this is to be expected. It's going to be a tight race to 18. I really am not expecting a scenario where Rowain gets a draw. 2-way draw may be the most likely scenario actually.

Yikes, just realized the situation with Berlin, Denmark, and England is a bit trickier than I realized. Hm.

I expect better from Rowain.

This is the wrong game to play to be sensitive in. I can see it in say a Civ game with public diplo where the expectation of total honesty is higher, but whatever.

And yeah, map is very tricky right now.

Gal-Boh
Bud-Vie
Rum-Ukr

Are all MAJOR screw-you's. Seriously, the map now looks like this:



Merry Christmas Mattimeo? Especially if Vie is just set up to order Vie-Tyr which Mattimeo said Rowain told him he was going to do. Mattimeo could take 3 centers from Rowain this fall turn in addition to the 2 Italian centers he's going to get. That would put him at 14 with 3 Russian disbands coming and Warsaw + Moscow + Stp empty. Scary.

No kidding. Rowain went back on his word to me 2-3 times this game (depending on how you count) and I didn't take it personally and always tried to better my position. I do it once to him (mostly because I didn't trust him in a world where I let him have Den + Ber honestly) where I didn't even take anything he owned and he goes all melodramatic and throws his centers to Turkey. Not cool.

Holy crap. I... Wow. Second time this game. I have a habit of always having a tab open with the Gamestate thread while thinking about Diplomacy so I can tab over to it, but this is the second time (and I didn't catch it this time) I've done this, so obviously I need a new plan. Maybe I need to start having the gamestate thread open in a different browser or something so it's very explicit to me which tab I'm in.

If another player sees that via email notifications and it messes with the game, I'll feel really bad. I hope not. Thanks so much for catching it.

If Rowain even THINKS about disbanding Moscow..... rages will be had.

The more I look at the game the more I'm 100% convinced it'd be nothing but pure spite if he disbands Moscow, as it's 100% indefensible. So I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he won't do anything like that, but if he does... I won't be happy to put it lightly.

There is a tiny, tiny nagging fear in the back of my head that we just witnessed a "handover" from Russia to T and T will stab me or something... But that just doesn't seem plausible enough to me. Hard to say.
