I get a prophet in 1 AD that builds the Hindu shrine in Thebes. Looking back this was a mistake.

Nice pink dotting and rush on Egypt. That was the intent for one way to play the game - conquer as much as you like without worrying about the economy. I actually changed Egypt's capital spot to a non-hill to allow that.

What units were you using in the end, I guess Cavalry? Against what defenders, longbows?

Only got up to Cuirassier. 3 more techs for cavalry.
