They need a scenario-tied python code to provide output coordinates for the portal "spell". Lack of those makes them default to (0,0) tile.

Wow I feel patronised. (I know you didnt mean it that way)
What I meant was "Eh I have no idea what any of that equipment is" BTW, I do consider myself a noob but I have played a few SP games and lurked a bit

Qgqqqqq Wrote:Wow I feel patronised. (I know you didnt mean it that way) The equipment is weapons and wands depicted as extra non-movement units in the game. They give strength buffs and other goodies to whichever unit holds them. Sometimes the buff is dependant on having a certain type of mana available (e.g the Rod of Winds gives +1 air strength per air node connected, a fairly useless buff), and nearly all buffs are tied to an element type (Athame is +poison, Orthus' Axe is +fire). And other equipment gives a non strength buff either with the strength one (e.g. Orthus' axe giving blitz) or alone (e.g. Crown of Command giving a 30% capture chance on units defeated. More often than not these are attached to barb units, though there are a few poppable from treasure chests or dungeons (rod of winds and scorched staff), and there are a number attached to civ units (Pieces of Barnaxus*, Golden Hammers, Nether Blade, Empty Bier, Godslayer, Gela). *The pieces are the only equipment with no apparent use. They're for the Luchuirp to be able to ressurect Barny when he dies.

Air elementals also get the affinity, and the level 2 air spell is good enough that keeping three air nodes around so all your mages get Maelstrom is a good thing. It's pretty weak in a pre-mages, pre-air mana environment, but solid after. I've got an equipment spoiler written up for their locations in a standard game. I could post it for informational purposes if it isn't considered out of bounds. Quote:Wow I feel patronised. Apologies, I was being patronizing, but only because I thought you were being dismissive about the entire concept of a FFH Adventure, rather than asking what the different pieces of equipment are. You can find information on all of the entries in the in-game pedia'. Quote:I've got an equipment spoiler written up for their locations in a standard game. Cool! Too spoilerish to post here though. I look forward to reading it after the game concludes (or you could post it here, but on spoiler tags with everyone understanding that they are forbidden to read it until they finish). Selrahc Wrote:? Well what I meant with the air mana was that as it is often one of the last mana types connected, the Rod doesn't get buffed up that often. Most other mana type buffs tie into either manas you'd be interested in using, or tied to units you'll want to buff.

Wait, it's spoilerish to post that you normally get the Pieces of Barnaxus by killing Barnaxus? Or that the Rod of Winds is usually only found by dungeon delving? It'd be one thing if Selrahc were saying 'hey, look, I found that Bob put the Pieces of Barnaxus on the desert tile 15 W of the workshop', sure, but that's not how I read his comment at all.

Ah okay, my bad- yeah, post away, just don't post any guides or whatever on how to maximize your chances of getting certain items.
