Naming scheme

'Adventure One' is a great capital name. I feel 'Rising Sun' sends the wrong message to other teams.

I feel both are excellent names, but I prefer "Adventure One."

That sounds a bit like Airstrip One to me, but it doesn't really matter. I think referencing the previous RB adventures is a cool idea. No one is going to hate us for using that as a naming scheme. If they hate us anyway I'm sure it will be for some reason other than what we named our cities.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

That's why I like it. It evokes both the successful past game and the RB epics/adventures theme.

Good points. I support Adventure One for the capital.

Rising Sun is a bit too connected with Japanese imperialism and sending the wrong message imo. I would prefer we use something neutral like adv1.

I know why we lost our warrior! He hadn't [STRIKE]been painted[/STRIKE] received a name yet!

So, we need a scheme for naming our workers and our other units.

For spies, I think we should name them after famous spies, ie after (reasonably) famous people who have worked in the spying business, but are not famous for their work as spies:

Astrid Lindgren
Julia Child
Alice Sheldon
Anthony Quayle

Have someone used the ship names from the Culture novels by Iain M Banks earlier? Plenty of good names for units there, and it's relatively easy to make up new ones as needed.
