I had forget the micro plan i.e. this change doesn't save any worker turns. However the warrior out is a big improvement.
Haven't tested yet, but I think we might be able to save a worker turn if after corn farm the other worker puts a turn on chop forest before moving to farm wines and chopping the other forest. plako Wrote:I had forget the micro plan i.e. this change doesn't save any worker turns. However the warrior out is a big improvement. I tried that I think, I don't think it works. But feel free to verify. I guess the wheel one turn sooner would have been useful, so our revolt wasn't completely free. ![]() Our next major decision is what to research after the wheel, pottery or animal husbandry.

I'm inclined towards Pottery because of where we're talking about putting cities - the gold one has corn for initial food (and cow later); the copper one has wheat for initial food (and crab later); any stone one looks like it'll be a seafood powered city. So AH affects 2 or 3 tiles - the cow at the gold site, the pigs we've mined and might give us a horse. It feels like getting cottages up & running quicker is more useful. Just to save face by changing the subject - another detail we need to decide on is where to build the road. Either as pictured, or straight sw from the corn. I think this depends on our tech choice and our dotmap/settling order.

If SE copper then Fishing-Pottery. If SE, we need to also decide how seriously we try to build GLH. We could probably land it ~T70 there.
Looks like a choice between pushing aggressively inland for more territory, or settling our backlines for TGL trade routes.
Settling our backlines and missing TGL would kind of suck. ![]()
If you know what I mean.

That's quite late, OTOH we don't really have to commit too heavily to make that date, just settle the city and grab the techs we need. I think Pottery-Fishing might be better than Fishing-Pottery.
