I only targeted Qgqqqqqqqqqq on the first day as my joke vote. Isn't it more likely one of the other three (thestick, Molach, Selrahc) would be NAP?

Then again, I guess an experienced wolf wouldn't send a clumsy message like that?

I'll wait and read the discussion by others before finalizing my vote, and also see who of my top 3 gets the most votes from others. But for now I'll target thestick.

Thestick is definitely NAP, but... its gonna be a boring day otherwise.

I'd be wary of the message too. Likely sent by NAP.
Serdoa was blocked, and then we are offered the roleblocker...
Also it makes even more seers than the 3 I had in mind earlier.

No problem saving this for later. If a village datajack ends up dead we lynch maniac. If not, well then the datajack at least will know who to vote for in the endgame.

I might go along with my very likely villagers and vote thestick but gonna read a bit more on his case(s) and hear more from others.

This game is tough to keep up with when you only have sporadic internet access and limited time bang

Anyway, yeah that message to Qg looks sketchy as heck. Has there ever been a anonymous messenger role in one of these games which *wasn't* a bad guy?

Possibilities:

* It's an ill-conceived wolf play, aimed at one of the newest WW players here, intended to sow confusion and/or lynch an innocent.

* It's totally legit, with the grammatical and other errors being the product of an addled mind.

* It's reverse psychology, Maniac *is* a Wolf, but the message is intentionally poorly delivered by another wolf so that we ignore it and automatically assume he's innocent.

* Oq is making the entire thing up for some inscrutable purpose.

I think the first option is the most likely, second is least.

I agree that we don't really need to do anything about it atm.

I'm happy to lynch thestick or Molach. I've been suspecting them both almost all game for their clumsy, often incoherent rhetoric and studdied wolfish uselessness.

There's at least a couple people playing here who post so rarely that I have to look at the player list to remember they're still in. But I'm really one to criticize, so I'm not going to actually vote for anyone on that basis (especially when there's better candidates for much better reasons).

Maniac Wrote:The Planet Buster and Nerve Gas Pods are gone already. IIRC the only atrocity left is nerve stapling citizens. Yang seems like a likely candidate for that ability. Should we be scared BRick? wink

Well you are right Maniac, I do have the nerve staple ability, but it scares me more than it should you. What it does is it keeps any drones from being able to riot, and that's all the data that Bigger gave me so no cool normal useage. I searched the forum for any mention of drones and other than some flavor by bigger and pindicator, and a brief mention by Selrach, there's been nothing said about drones.

So, where's the latest list of people's role claims? Any Unclaimed people I suspect could be drones, and have some special unknown power that I'm supposed to be able to block. Or are there any villagers that have some sort of drone power that can help me out here?

The reason I said it scares me, is if you look at both of the past night kills, they were people with atrocities. Since there was confusion over why catwalk would be killed, yet he had an atrocity, and pind is dead, and had an atrocity, I feel like there's a good chance that I could be one of the next targets. I'm not sure why because I don't really know if my power can do very much, but since they seem to be targeting atrocity people anyway maybe I can find a way to use this power before they do something to me too.

Also I agree that q^7's message there seems really weird and poorly written. I have no idea what trying to be accomplished there.

Goodbye, pindicator. A game-wide hook could have been useful, stopping wolf-kills for a night.

Serdoa, another possibility is that we might have a jailer like WW14.

Seer with an ability to release results without putting himself at risk seems too powerful to be true. I agree, the message is probably fake.

What's the case against me again?
Big Stuff:
-Day 1 Tasunke-stuff, acting pressured at 10-6 and being suspicious of the people who weren't voting for me, and that suspicious post
-Disappearing halfway through Day 2
-Not making much sense
-Saying little of note

Little Stuff:
-Being novice's top Day 1 suspect, then dropping off the radar Day 2
-Asking for Tasunke's role instead of role/alignment
-Throwing doubt on a seer claim
-Assuming that Serdoa can't determine powers (by the way, can you?)

Any I missed?

In response to the 'cracking under pressure' accusations, yes, I was worried of dying. Trying to stay alive doesn't necessarily mean wolfishness. In response to disappearing Day 2, yes, I ran off. 'Not making much sense' and 'saying little of note?' Struggling to come up with reads easily is a lynchable offense?

I'm irritated at how Lewwyn's been jumping at practically everything I say, but I'm guessing that classifies as 'wolf hunting procedures.'

Brick's claim of having an ability but not knowing what it does seems pretty suspicious to me. If you're looking for drones, Mattimeo claimed to be Drone Foreman.

You know, Maniac's Post 678 strikes me as suspicious. Something feels wrong about these two posts being written by the same guy:

Maniac Wrote:Yeah, but Bigger used Lal as flavour before slowcheetah claimed Lal. I'm assuming no one was given Lal, so before slowcheetah made the claim, Bigger wasn't given clues in his flavour.

Maniac Wrote:
  • Sinder Roze was the one who could detect player roles. I have no experience with mafia here. Is it likely there would be two characters with the same ability??
  • SMAC doesn't have a specialist type called Datajack.
  • It strikes me as strange that someone would be forbidden to reveal their role by Bigger. Seems like a lame excuse to be able to sow distrust anonymously.
  • In this game we have Roze able to determine roles, and Miriam/Sardoa able to determine alignment. It seems unlikely to me there would be another character who could do both. Furthermore, the message only states that they can determine player roles. Even if that were true, they would only be able to tell I was a role blocker, not that I was NAP.

It's a pretty large jump in arguing abilities. I'll admit, though, this one is more of 'gut feeling.'
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

Sorry to see you go, pindicator.

That message is a doozy. I'm not sure what to think about it yet, but there's probably something there. Like in WW12...

Maniac Wrote:Then again, I guess an experienced wolf wouldn't send a clumsy message like that?

...one of the factions sent out a global broadcast that didn't do anything useful for them but revealed to the village the presence of mirrored packs, which ultimately screwed them over. And that faction had at least one experienced player in it (novice.)
