..and went and got me a copy of Everquest II. Before I pick a server to play on, is anyone else here playing this?

Rat Folk? A playable character race?
I might try some Evercrack Too if there's good company to play with and the game seems to have some legs. LOT of games on the plate at the moment, though. I'm currently playing Half Life 2 and likely to be occupied with that for a while. I have Far Cry and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on deck, plus Rogues team, plus some other stuff, too. I may end up getting Pirates, of course. I remember loads of fun with the original and the reviews so far are all strong. I simply may not have time for yet another game, at least in the short term. - Sirian

Highkeep.
Ratonga? AHHHHHHHH! Alas, you are in Freeport, and I am in Q-Town. Clvl 12 Kerran Bard here, on my way to Troubador (I'm a wandering troubador, I give local news at 4...). Highkeep. Jaffa in EQ2? This is about good enough to start an Evil character just to play with you. Highkeep. I'll have to take the poor dear's picture tonight and post it here so everyone can see me in all my feline grace and charm. Highkeep. Sirian: So far, a MUCH more complete, thought-out, and content-rich game than WoW. I played nightly for a week before I took a Thanksgiving break, and never saw anyone (yet) who had found a way to grief. Actually, you are a bit OVER-protected, to the point where you can't cast a buff on some random stranger you see in combat as you are running by (which sucks, as random acts of kindness are fun). Still, as in all MMwhatevers, high-level fun will have to be brought to the game by the players, and so I will probably bow out in a few months, as the odds of me finding a RBD-like community in EQ2 are vanishingly thin. And the crafting is, erm, strange. They made it like combat. It is a great IDEA, but the implementation, is, erm, strange . Still, the first time you see someone killed by a crafting attempt gone bad, much hilarity ensues. Dante did not specifiy a level of hell for Kerran Bards that taunt people who die crafting in OOC chat, but he should have. EQ2 is still a bit tedious at times, but a solid game. In a perfect world where I won the lottery and was king, I would play EQ2 3 nights a week, WoW 2, and spend the other 2 in dinosaur games like D2 . As it is, I can only afford one monthly game at a time, and, overall, EQ2 trumps WoW, at least for me. WoW has its points. After I (eventually) dump EQ2, I might play it a bit. Maybe. Did I mention Highkeep? --Cy

Jaffa sighting!!
He started a goody-two-shoes-type-character-thingy, and we wound up in the same inn . I had to run back home to say hello (actually, a bit o' run and a bit of teleport via the admiral's bell conceit). Anyway, here the cat meets a dog-to-be (druid type heading for wolf form) in peaceful Willow Woods. We waved and bowed, and I played him two tunes: BTW Jaffa, get a good eye on Daryann there--later on she is going to need some help restoring the balance of nature culling the herd of some animals in Antonica--sounds like a good mission for a druid to me . --Cy ps--kinda puts a whole different slant on "having a nice tail", eh? pps--my vid is still in low detail/high-fps-for-raid mode here from a disasterous adventure in stormhold keep on sunday night--sigh....I finally got out of the exp hole tonight... |
