Why is TEAM's land so much better than ours?

I'm working on the T30 history thread post (tho it won't be done for a day or two) ... and I hadn't realised till just now that we can actually see TEAM's borders to the NE of our scout. Damn, that Gold is awfully close to them, isn't it? Don't think we'll get that unless we settle it really soon

It's More Fun to be Jack of All Trades than Master of One.
Some alternatives:
* Continue as planned - We'll probably get our pigs pillaged since we need to keep our warrior inside capital - Not my favourite * Whip settler this turn. Overflow will finish warrior next turn. After that we could either: - Make 3 vs 1 i.e. move our 2nd warrior on same hill as 1st one - No units to support our settlement - Just protect pigs and city tile and move 1 warrior to protect our settlement plan - make 2 vs 1, move our 3rd to protect the settlement - Very risky btw. Should I move our scout to check their capital? Risky. Do we know how many warriors they've?
Why not just 2 vs 1 their warrior, move the warrior 1W of the city to join the one on the hill. TEAM moves to 1E of our city, and we kill it. If we lose with the first warrior and have too poor odds on the second warrior we move into the city instead.
I guess the problem is our settler and workers heading for copper would be unescorted? When could our warrior catch up?

Here's an updated sandbox:

Warrior has Combat I. We could also consider settling the safer spot in the SE and convert our teching to Fishing and try to land GLH there. What about whipping next turn? It would give us 3rd warrior and option to take more risks on our 2 vs 1. |
