Currently spiking on my scumdar are also Uberfish and Catwalk, mainly for making terrible arguments. (See Uberfish above, and Catwalk's post 188.)
.
agree +10 with this post. not with the catwalk part, but with thestick and uberfish parts.
Injera - about my thestick vote.
originally, it was 18 hours in and I'm not looking for a concrete argument (there aren't any). I don't think his original post was damning, but it was suspicious and there wasn't much to go on - also I feel like thestick gives off his tells best when he is under pressure, so he's a decent person to start a dogpile on. At that point I was looking more for his response than I was to lynch him. I was ready to hop off as soon as he made a townie post defending himself. His eventual response is more damning, though. I was expecting a village thestick to respond like he did in ww15 for being the top vote-getter - confused, a little panicky, "oh no, I don't understand why everyone is voting for me again." Instead I see ww13 thestick (when he was a wolf) - cool, calm, very sparse in his words, almost unaware that anyone is even voting for him. Also agree with Zak - thestick comes off as trying hard not to react to the votes against him, hoping if he stays mostly silent the village will get bored and pick a new candidate. That's a scum strategy, imo.
my current number 2 candidate is solidly uberfish, who should be a good village asset but is NOT currently doing so at all. I'll be paying careful attention to this novice-uber battle, but uber seems more likely of the two to be scum to me. I could join a uber wagon, but at this point (4 hours before deadline) I'd prefer to save that for day 2 and hang thestick.
Injera is getting pushed further down on my list, but isn't off it just yet
Rowain Wrote:Its not about reding you Bigger. Its the contains of your posts that I'm voting for you. First your: 'I hopp on the BW started by zak' followed by your: 'Hey Gaspar I might join you on an Injera-BW if one starts'
Both without any reasoning why you find those 2 worth a BW.
In short those 2 points say scum to me no matter who posts them. Happened to be you hence my vote for you.
Love the town-drunk RP Rowain. I do wish you'd stop thinking like one, though. :D
I don't really know what you're expecting from me here. I posted reasons for my thestick vote, and in this post I elaborated - I think its pretty clear why I am voting for him now. I never voted for Injera - it was just a gut feeling, and I also feel like his response to my comments has given the village info that will be useful in coming days. Truthfully, I am staying open-minded about him - thestick and uberfish are my only real suspects atm.
Rowain, Pindicator - this just feels like a retread of ww13. Whatever you're reading from me was the same BS you read from me in that game, and I'm just as innocent here as I was then. This is just how I play this game.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

What mean spiritedness? This isn't a game about being nice to people.
Jkaen: Your probabilistic reasoning about Tasunke is wrong. You failed to take into account that the chances of Tasunke claiming vanilla would also be lower if he happened to be scum.

No, but there's a difference between pushing people relentlessly and name calling. Your post:
uberfish Wrote:no I was voting for Catwalk you worthless pile of scum.
to me read more like name-calling.
While I have your attention, what do you make of Bigger's accusation on you?

That comment about the Tasunke vote reasoning should be directed to Mattimeo as well since he actually originated it. It seems a bit of a cop out to me to just vote tasunke because he's not a town PR.

I might not be around for deadline - I hope I am, but I do have some issues with my teeth again (have already visited the dentist once today) - so I'll rather put my vote were it counts:
thestick
I'd rather lynch Mattimeo tbh, but I don't expect to get much help with that, so back to thestick.

Pindicator: I've been out for most of the weekend so I'm just ignoring the complaints about my lack of activity as invalid.

In WW13 you were a wolf. More to the point you were the wolf who convinced the village to lynch somebody else but you although it had been clear that you were lying. Interesting that the victim you got lynched was wolf thestick then.

I'd vote Matt over thestick, I really didn't like his post where he voted tasunke either.

I thought bigger was questioning the quality of your posts, not the activity level.
Bigger Wrote:While you're at it can you comment on you "forgetting" that Tasunke always panic role-claims with the slightest bit of pressure? You've always seem to remember details like that, it seems odd to me that you forget his play in ww11 and ww12.
I'll vote Mattimeo. I would like him to explain his reasoning with his change of heart. First he thinks Tasunke's claim doesn't mean anything
Mattimeo Wrote:With Brick saying that at least half the town is vanilla, seems a relatively safe claim for everyone...
Town special role could claim to reduce the chance scum hit them, by exactly your reasoning.
Scum can claim because it's not likely to immediately get them killed in a counter-claim.
And of course, actual VT can claim because it's their actual role.
So, while I agree that Tasunke's early claiming habits are regrettable, and predictable enough that effort should possibly be taken to avoid it, I don't know that it necessarily clears him, or even implies that he is lacking a patricularly strong town role. Though yes, it probably clears him from minor town roles.
And then he says it makes him the best chance to be scum
Mattimeo Wrote:Voting Tasunke. His claim seems to eliminate town-aligned power roles for him, leaving open vanilla town, or all scum. So he has the highest simple chance of being scum. And if it's wrong, he's not a power role, so we're not losing anything too badly.
(Yes, those posts are hours and hours apart, but they are two successive posts by Mattimeo)

I'm just doing what I always do. I noticed a couple of complaints about my activity level earlier and figured bigger's comment was in the same line. I don't care what other people think of the quality of my posts.
