Tasunke, are you suspicious of meiz for pretending this 5 hours didn't exist and that novice was effectively voting thestick from the beginning?

waterbat Wrote:moving catwalk down a notch every time he posts. This is odd though - in past games when I had that feeling about someone (or was pretending to have that feeling about someone), Lewwyn would come swooping into the rescue. I.E. "Its so obvious an innocent is flailing about".

Lewwyn, what makes catwalk's flailing different than say... Twinkletoes' flailing a few games back? I think you even defended me when i was an innocent flailing.

Confession... I may have gained a bit of respect for Catwalk during the whole Live WW Setup and execution. As a result I see him as a bit more devious than I used to. I actually don't think Catwalk has played scum in our forum games (or I can't remember), but I have a vivid picture of him playing wolf in our live game and there is a striking resemblance. I don't see flailing villager here.

Wait... Lewwyn defender of innocents?

Tasunke - just because novice is elected mayor doesn't mean we can't lynch him at a later date.

Catwalk Wrote:It reminds me of that game recently where the town won a landslide victory due to the scum having a weak roster. .

Which one was that? Scum have won the last 3 games. The last village win, ww12, there were 2 newbies and 4 veterans, including Zak and novice!

Could you link me to when Meiz backs up Novice's assertion?

I only remember (early night1 I believe) when Novice practically got a stapling gun out and stapled himself to Zakalwe at the hip.

I think I'd actually make a better wolf than townie, yeah. Correct, the live game was my only scum game. And as has been mentioned elsewhere, I probably would go for bold plays in attempts to gain deep cover. Chances are that I'd offer myself for sacrifice in such a gambit, though smile

Personally I think I look pretty flailing here, as a wolf it'd be a lot easier to make up crap since you don't have to worry about it being correct. Which is another wolf-wouldn't-do-that argument, I guess.

I am glad to see a few people not simply falling for the all-too-tempting technique of quickly 'confirming' villagers and following them blindly.

IMO Novice is in no way cleared. In fact, the push to make him mayor makes me feel more uneasy than relieved.

Zak was clearly reading as a dangerous wolf hunter and this was obvious early, what better way to gain deep cover than establish one wolf as his 'sidekick' so that they could become his mayoral successor when he is killed? Add this to the possible bussing of a wolf and claiming to be hit by a 'post restriction' and it can be easy to establish some innocent credentials.

This is all hypothetical of course, but I do not like people blindly following someone who is in no way cleared. It makes things easy for the wolves and can quite simply set up a lot of mislynches further on.

IMO I think catwalk is just plain misguided and nothing more atm. He is standing out from the crowd atm, but not everyone who does is a wolf. Sometimes they are just foolish or being set up for a fall.

Tasunke Wrote:Personally I think Selrahc and Serdoa are giving a more solid village read (at least for me) than Novice.

Please tell me what the village-read from Selrahc is based upon.

And again I'm absolutly uninterested in gettin lists of 20-something names with at least 50% 'no read', 'might be village or not' - shit tacked on them.

Please if you are a villager think whom you suspect the most ( 2-3 names are enough) and make your case there. Everything else is just useless clutter.

Jkaen Wrote:Guys I know what Catwalk has posted so far wasn't that helpful but jumping right on top of things like this as people try to put their thoughts together is just going to send them back into their shell and turn them into sheep.

I would quite happily take catwalks original thoughts on 9 players than have thoughts on none of them. Why dont we just wait to see what he produces on the 9 before jumping all over his analysis? Maybe then he can expand the conclusions to cover more at a later post?

Two things. First I've been suspicious of Catwalk since his opening 2 posts on Day 1 so its not like I'm trying to shut him up now. I'm actually also interested in hearing his thoughts.

But Second, you say let him post his conclusions and analysis. But that's not what he's done so far. I'll repeat this:

Catwalk Wrote:If you can kindly give me a little bit more time, I'm going to have a look at those 9 and see if I feel strongly enough about any of them.

is not the same as presenting a case. All he did was list a few names and said, "these guys look like likely suspects. Let me investigate them now as opposed to telling you why I chose these people to discuss in the first place."

So yes. I'm waiting to hear conclusions. Instead of stopgaps.
