At least from me, this is just you, as AI diplo sounds like one of the funner setups out there - with opponent interaction that doesn't completely control the game.
Really PB5 sounds really quite enjoyable, Scooter just got unlucky, first where he was placed, second with no luxuries, andfinally with TT ruining his powerful tech lead.

If you want to selflessly make the larger game more interesting I can only think of one player to wreck...

It took Old Harry's reply for me to understand that sentence. I thought you were saying that the ceiling where you are, you know, that ceiling above your head if you look up, was currently wrecking someone's game. And I wondered, a) By what strange process is this occurring? How do you get your game wrecked by someone else's ceiling? and b) How do you know that!? This is a no talking game, and c) Maybe this "ceiling" is the verb form of a nickname for ceiliazul, because that would make marginally more sense, in that I don't know the definition of that word so it could be anything.

Despite poor setup for me, this game has been a blast. The randomness and AI diplo are just a lot of fun.

Yeah I know. A Krill war is not a war that I win due to lack of production, but it would be interesting. By the time I get to him though, Regopin will have gifted him every tech that exists probably.

No you had it right the first time. There are THINGS on my ceiling, and they are dangerous.

Will they pile on if you go after him? Does AI diplo allow you to ask or offer "Attack X"?

We've actually been technically at war for a long time now and nobody has joined. Instead, they trade with Krill and not me because they don't want to win.

Sadly no. Unless I spell it out in cities like, ahem, some people have done but I think that's a little bit cheap.

Ok, update time. First, I thought this event log was funny:
Brick's city adjective just made it funny . Here was the T211 setup:
One thing to clear up confusion - I'm playing before him in the turn order. However on this turn yesterday, Brick said he wasn't changing any of the units inside his city, so he asked if I minded if he just went ahead and played and we resumed the normal order the next day. So those units behind the city would normally not be there yet, which means that stack coming from the north will be able to attack before he gets that stack in. Anyways, I actually went ahead and attacked with my wounded southern stack here. I had some higher promoted units and was able to get 3 attacks in the 80s despite wounds. I won the first two and lost the third . I'll take it though. Today's turn went much better:
I went 11/11. Yes I realize I forgot about the catapult there until halfway through the attack - didn't matter. This is the situation after the turn, he may survive next turn too:
He has 4 catapults, and I'm actually a little concerned about that south stack - all the rifles are below 6 health. However, they are on a hill across a river, so it'll still be hard for him to get odds. He does have a GG here, so he can freely upgrade warrior -> mace (he just got the ability to build maces in the last few turns). So yeah, I have a maximum of 12 hitters next turn, many of those are badly wounded (though they are due promos too). He has 0 CG longbows though, so that's nice. The archers/Vultures got cut through like butter - I was getting 95%+ odds easily. CR Rifles are dirty. The geography here really is killer for him. Yay Amphibious. Anyways, as you may have noticed, I'm doing it. I'm biting the bullet and teching Astronomy. Here's two reasons why:
And:

A few other notes:
1) Brick completely emptied out one of his back cities to pile units into his capital. I'm sending two galleys with units around to his backside to see if I can pick units off
2) I have my 3 galleys in the south ready to transport to the other western cities. I also have 2 Caravels running ahead to scout and make sure I know where all his cities are and what's in them.
3) I am starting to gather Rifles to open another front. I've got about 6-7 ready and about that many more streaming in. Every one of them has City Raider promos. I'm determined to make this game the coolest Viking demonstration ever . (# of Rifles built still numbers 0)
