No, I didn't notice novice had switched to pindicator, so I was questioning why you had suddenly gone independent. Then I saw the vote tally and realized I was wrong.
Catwalk Wrote:TT, votes have to change from time to time. If that always stinks to you, WW must be a miserable experience for you It's not new accusations, and they're not coming out of nowhere. What is suspicious to you about it?
Votes change, yes. But its the timing that stinks for me. No new accusations and they've been around a while, yet near the deadline they suddenly get mass traction?
Your tone here seems so different to before - almost a bit like you are more cheerful that before when you 'gave up independent thought' - could it be because an innocent is on the block.
Any movement for a catwalk lynch? You really are getting on my wick!
"You want to take my city of Troll%ng? Go ahead and try."
Well that's a lot of information to process. Sareln is putting up an admirable defense, though I think he would do so as a wolf or as a villager. He has at least not been incredibly scummy today, beyond his very scummy votes Day 1. I don't want to see him slip by the wayside, but I'm picking up serious scummy vibes from Catwalk and Pindicator. I was already very suspicious of Catwalk and moderately suspicious of Pindicator. Catwalk.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

I think there's a lot of dissatisfaction with the Sareln wagon, although I must admit I'm a bit surprised people were following me so readily.

I still find novice to be trustworthy, and I have a pretty good feel about the roster currently on pindicator. Mostly gut feel, can't offer you many specifics.

Very different, yes. As I wrote a few posts ago, I'm having fun again. That's mostly because people aren't being asses to me today, I tend to be rather thin-skinned. One thing I think many players tend to ignore is that it's possible to demotivate other players. Townies are much more susceptible to that than wolves, as wolves really don't care if they're being called idiots. I'm not using that to argue I'm innocent (of course it could all be an act) but to argue that getting on people's case to the extent that they don't really give a sh*t is often counter productive. Except for scum of course, demotivating townies is a great play. I don't know if people were just being bullies or actively trying to aggravate me, so I'm not going to accuse anyone on basis of that.
pindicator, which are your favourite suspects other than Sareln?
