I'm inclined to believe Waterbat's claim, and I don't think he would have posted at all if he was scum. Noone was expecting him to post, the safe thing to do as scum was to simply check in later and offer the same excuse.

Anyways, perhaps it was unstated but I DO think that I have to step back and reassess. For me this doesn't mean that I'm gonna just believe that novice is villager, but on the same token, there is no reason to believe that Sareln or Uberfish are guilty, which also means, perhaps recursively, that there is not a whole lot to go on when it comes to Novice's "scumminess".

I mean hell, GASPAR is more scummy than Novice at the moment.

Given Rowain's reveal ... we might not even be able to get a lot of info from the post restriction thing ... even if it DID look a bit fishy.

You're missing the point. He didn't color his vote red, which ultimately would have swung the vote to pindicator. And he voted for the guy voting Ichabod who wouldn't be around to change his vote as mayor.

It requires an explanation. I mean, if you saw a lynch result and saw that the vote went against your preferred target because you screwed up your tags, and there was a dead village, you wouldn't react pretty strongly to that?
