Do we have an up-to-date sandbox?

It's More Fun to be Jack of All Trades than Master of One. Nydaeli Wrote:I think we should finish the first chop (into a worker), then head NE for the second chop. That way, if they kill our warrior on the sheep, we'll be able to chop out a warrior without risking our workers. I wouldn't finish forest chop next turn. I don't like finishing the chop when it doesn't finish Worker. However putting workers to NE forest and chop there could be better than E. It would be more secure making it possible to chop warrior, if they really attack and win both of our warriors. plako Wrote:I wouldn't finish forest chop next turn. Poking around in the sandbox; my first time actually playing civ4 for several years. We have enough worker turns to insta-chop an axe on the turn after the worker is built in Bombay. Might want to do that so we can push towards TEAM. (The remaining forests could be used to chop a settler out of Bombay.) Also, we are a ways off from actually working any non-resource tiles, so it might actually make sense to get hunting before pottery.

And right after playing I realised we would have been better of staying in the road and not move above sheep. Not a biggie, but in case they attack our middle warrior we might end up having a minor problems.

I have to run.
So, do we finish one or two chops this turn?
I'm thinking we just finish one, then prechop and build pastures until Bloody Mary is size three and ready for another foodhammer build. Next turn we replan based on the location of horses. We should also consider hunting before pottery.

Finish the chop where the workers are, prechop the one 1S of that. Next turn we will have the option to finish two chops if we want an instant axe.
Move the northern warrior 1NE to guard that forest.
