novice Wrote:*Looks up Gaspar* 909: Pindicator has no traction but I'll mention him since he was a big topic last night. He seems relatively disengaged. I agree that the sequence of actions was very scummy though he's pulled that gambit before. Though I think he might have been scum that time. Slight scum lean, I guess.
I bolded the part that is factually incorrect. I've only "pulled that gambit" as a villager, unless he's thinking of something different than switching to a 3rd party to draw attention. That was all WW14, which I would have thought you to remember novice.
WW12 - the only time I've drawn scum - I did just the opposite; I took sides on a bandwagon to save a fellow scum.
I can debate being "disengaged" too - like I said, Tuesday I was going to be away, and sure enough, I was away.
I asked this yesterday but didn't get any response, but can anyone with experience give me a baseline account of Selrahc? Or point me to some prior WW games where he's not scum/doing something weird?

Sorry if you said this and I missed it, but what was the reason for doing it this game?

I've played with Selrahc before but every time I can remember he's either been scum or a weird villager.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Bigger Wrote:to be clear, I never said it wasn't a big deal, nor was I blase about his lynch. I simply said that I think it was the correct lynch given the suspects available to lynch at the time. Sucks that he turned out innocenct, but he was my #2 and I would have voted for him over Ichabod or Pindicator if I had been online at lynch time.
Was referring to your not a bad lynch comment - I disagree, since I think this game Sareln's done more to advance the town cause than either Ichabod or Pindicator, even if I would normally classify them both as stronger players than Sareln.

I didn't "pull a gambit" this game, I just didn't like either vote and had 10 min to find somewhere to put a vote. I didn't want to risk lynching a power role with thestick, and I thought bigger sounded villagerish on day 1. What would you do if you had to find someone to vote for in 10 min and didn't like either of the top 2 candidates?
So onto hunch number 3, charter member of the Gaspar Fan Club®, Rowain:

For me a thestick with a PR would play silent hopping to not get any attention what ever and if he gets it - falling in paralysis with not knowing what to do. A normal (more so nightkill immune) thestick was far more outgoing and participating.
Again he might be wolf but if he is not (and MAtt is true too) we have let the wolves f** us real hard. (outing 2 PR's and maybe killing one of them).
Passive defense of thestick.
That was all that really stuod out on day 1 - generally he sounded Rowain-ish except the novice thing, which is not his style. As a general rule, he tends to run contrarian to whatever Novice/Zak do. Day 2 on the other hand...
Not going to paste, but he starts out night 2 on posts 406, 408 and 412 attempting to discredit novice. I don't think questioning anyone is bad play, but to my ears he was not questioning him (village move) but rather trying to attack his credibility (scum move.) After zak dies and day 2 starts, he goes right back to friends with novice in posts 504 & 540 in what I read as a "ok novice is on wrong track, I can get behind this" kind of tone.
So scoring at home, 2 days, 2 piggybacks of novice with a mild attempt to discredit him in between. Then he swapped to pindicator and never left, but more importantly...
Then it really starts, what sort of drew my attention to him here:

@Qg No problem if it is a serie of posts. As long as they are consistent.
But for one of the next I would like to know how novice misrepresented the chain of events. Or how it looks for you. post number: 565 rb_post_id: 293985 poster: Rowain
My next question:
Whom would you lynch and why? post number: 568 rb_post_id: 293989 poster: Rowain
@Qg once you return I would love to hear your suspects (and your own reasoning)

You mean you woul have switched to no vote and risked getting mod-killed lateron?
Besides I'm more interested whom you suspect now and whom you would lynch today and why. post number: 586 rb_post_id: 294015 poster: Rowain

Why? I think if I was a wolf, I might well advise Qg to play up an angle of being a "weird" poster, who tend to be unlynchable while also not being expected to contribute a lot.
Qg
I think we can wait until tomorrow (realtime) when he might have access to a PC and be able to post for real. No need to press him now for difficult to read posts. But naturally if he does continue in this fashion he is in need to be lynched.
@Qg Should you happen to stumble over a PC I would like to hear whom you suspect and why. A listing of all players left garnered with comments like 50% villager and so will earn you a place highup in the air with feets dangling. post number: 609 rb_post_id: 294043 poster: Rowain

There are even less as I'm currently onpindicatorwhile waiting for Qg to wake up and get a good PC so he can answer whom he suspect. post number: 611 rb_post_id: 294048 poster: Rowain
waterbat, catwalk whom do you suspect and why?

Yes please do so else I'm bound to believe you are part of scum. And if it is not too inconvenient for you I would like you to answer without first consulting with your gang-mates. post number: 620 rb_post_id: 294069 poster: Rowain

WW3. But the list was ok. The fact that you despite beeing proven tremendous wrong several times in a row (wolves on the most secure villagerspots and villagers on most secure wolf spots) still did not change anything was not. This was either a sign of extrem stubbornness or idiocity or both. post number: 626 rb_post_id: 294084 poster: Rowain

I'm not so much interested in a detailed list over all 23 other players. I'm interested in whom you want to lynch and why. 2-3 candidates are enough.
In the spoiler is 9 solid posts where he's asking about other people's reads and sharing none of his own. I generally believe this as scummy play - scum LOVES finding out everyone else's reads without sharing their own, because it allows them to gauge where they are in the "ranking" and adjust their play accordingly. Nothing wrong with asking for some contribution from folks here and there to clarify a read, but spamming up the thread with it while saying nothing yourself... scummy.
And... really that's all of day 2. There's another dozen similar posts. I've looked through Waterbats skimmer like 15 times and everytime its "Hey so and so, what do you think about this?" without once ever really explaining how he feels about anything.
Anyone doubting, go look for yourselves. Just one post after another quizzing people without suggesting so much as a single original thought.
So hey Rowain, why don't you tell us how you feel about the game before you play 20 questions with everyone else again?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

So, er, you found no tells at all in 500+ posts except Catwalk sheeping Novice? I find this hard to believe.
