ROFLMAO! But really, I like Asian music too, but really
I wouldn't be a Deep Purple fan if I have heard this version first But I guess they do have a special relationship to that song. KoP
You can find a lot of parodies like that. On Youtube there's a band of ukulele players performing Smells Like Teen Spirit and other crazy stuff.

My English has to improve. A lot.
I am a fan of covers of other people's music. That one is quite amazing. In this case, though, I am liking it only for the novelty, not because I would prefer it.
Thanks, cb ! P.S. On a somewhat related note, I was thoroughly tickled the other day to hear a new version of our national anthem. The schools play it every morning, and for years there the kids' school had a military band version of it, which, while nice enough, was boring. A new principal purchased a cd of a variety of versions and the other day I was treated to O Canada on acoustic guitar.
The nephews have invaded.
As part of their 'cheer Aunt Shadow up' campaign, they introduced me to the work of the Leningrad Cowboys. I reckon their version of Smoke on the Water is worthy of mentioning in this thread, although I am much more impressed with their cover of Sweet Home Alabama, with the Red Army Choir backing them up.

EASY STAR ALL-STARS: Easy Stars Lonely Hearts Dub Band Yes, I do love reggae. I loved this. Their version of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' is wonderful too.
