kjn's Ryde (spoilers!)

a small window to make a game changing impact? hmm.... I wonder where that copper is....

Quote:Sternum has 28H invested into its build. TZ picks up an discounted tech after The Wheel. Is he going for Pottery, before Agriculture with wet rice and sheep in his BFC? Pure in that case.

so you meant Catwalk instead of TZ there?

Obviously.

Looking at it analytically

If I use a skirmisher offensively, TZ has nothing that can touch it until they get some resources online. However, the skirmisher will be built T22, and won't reach the block position until T25. Also, I will need more units to beat their CG3 warrior (probably 5 effective strength in Sternum).

Next skirmisher is due T30 or T31, depending on if we do a T22 skirmisher. I fully expect TZ to have impis by that time. And then my poor workers will be running around for their life...

So I think I will have to go for maximum disruption of TZ's game plan here.

Note to self: should Hulatorpaheren finish the road 1SE of Ryd next turn?

It cause some lost worker turns, but will speed up movements to and from the central pass.

T18 - 2980 BC

I decided on a slight change to my micro plan. Instead of having Hulatorpaheren road to the NE, he finished the road SE of Ryd. He can move to the sheep next turn anyway, and still reach the sheep on T18 to start pasturing it T19. Slightly less efficient worker actions, but I can reinforce my blocking force 1t quicker.

The farm finished, and Ryd reached 12F.

Demos and cities after ending turn:

TZ researched BW, but I can't find any +1H in their tiles that I have visibility on. They have 37H invested into a build. If it's a worker, it will be available T19, and a settler T21. He should get The Wheel on T22.

AT grew to size 4, and finished a warrior. 18F at size 4 means working farmed rice, netted clam, pastured sheep, the ivory, and the city tile. Thanks to starting with Agriculture, AT could get 3 tiles improved in short order. Of course, he doesn't have two workers yet.

checked the save that just came in (t18) - nothing going on. no new animals or enemy movements

that best rival food is pretty good - with working improved clam, rice, sheep, and unimproved ivory im guessing.

also - thestick will see our powerdrop on the graphs (if they didn't already pick it up from the demos)

Yeah. Feel free to play the save and send it on, I'm out and won't be able to play until much later tonight.

Worker A: move towards ivory
Worker H: move to sheep

Ryd (size 3 now, right?): work rice, clam, ivory

What is the sabotage value for Sternum? If missing, they just built a worker, otherwise they're on a settler, if I remember things correctly.

Did you see horses somewhere? Next tech pottery.

hmm i guess that's a reason for me to NOT end turn before you do in situations where we gain knowledge of a strategic resource. We could potentially get some information ahead of when we are supposed to get it.

Yeah, bit simplest is if you just notify me if you want to send the turn on, or if I ask you to cover it.
