WW16: The Outlaws and The Olives

Ummm So What's going on? Is Rowain good or evil? Is it nighttime even? Did we just wait 72 hours for no one to die?

In addition, I'd like a retro flavor writeup for such a large event.

Agree with this once I stepped back long enough to think about it. Except...

Namely, unless there was a NIGHT-kill IMMUNE multi-shot vigilante (at least 2 or 3 shots) I see no possible way for a lynch-immune wolf to be balanced.

of course, we shouldn't stop just there. Its possible that it was either a 1-shot thing OR it was an activated power by someone else. Remember that power in WW11 where someone activated it and it was impossible to lynch the leading candidate? Maybe we are seeing a power like that in play.

Granted though, assuming it was, even a 1-shot lynch immunity ... I think we can pretty much nail Rowain's innocence at this point in time.

This confusion abounds. We don't know if this Rowain's ability (assumed) or if someone else "cast" it on Rowain or even if there's some random nokill day skill out there. I would assume the former but nothing would surprise me. If it is Rowain, with TTs role there's a lot of lynch protection out there, have to imagine there's at least one related scum role like spy/tracker/tinkerer.

Spitballing though, obviously nothing to go on til Rowain speaks.

I agree that Rowain would likely have made a claim if he had an ability. Gaspar, are you saying TT made a role claim? If so, I missed it.

The above should read "if he was innocent".

Well if his ability is "can't be lynched" that's something he wouldn't want the wolves to know. So we still have to wait to see. The last time I played a game where a lynch failed it was a role called a "mafia lawyer" who picked someone to protect from a lynch. But this could be a play on that if someone else is pulling the strings. It could even be a villager's power to prevent a lynch. Or it could simply be that Rowain is an unlynchable villager. I agree that it seems unlikely that a wolf would be unlynchable, unless there were only 5 wolves? Guess we just have to wait for Rowain.

Good point. I'd say more, but best to hear from Rowain first rather than give him the answers.

Well, that was unexpected.

He wanted us to lynch him, so he could kill me, remember?
I have to run.

I told you that you can try to lynch me but that it would be much good for the village.
In short it is my power and I'm a villager.

One question: Do we believve that there were a lot of scum voting for Matt on day4 or isn't it more believable that the bigger part (if not all of them) were not voting for him.
why are we looking to find the (most likely only) scum in the Matt-voters and not in those that did not vote for him?

Why are several players who are experience enough to realizy this not seeing that?
