Ok, here's T222 from last night. This was the first turn in quite a long time that I took no cities, but that doesn't mean I didn't make progress. Anyways, it's go time in Brick land:
I waited for the extra two catapults so I could get some decent collateral. I went for it. I knew I didn't have enough units to take it this turn, but all that mattered was getting rid of the top defenders. The one thing I was nervous about was I got these lousy odds on his mega musket:
However, I WON. From there, my second attack was 75% and everything else was that or better:
Amazing that a longbow takes precedence here over a Musket btw. Anyways, astoundingly enough I won every single battle leaving ONE UNIT LEFT:
I was being pretty literal when I said it was not possible to take it thihs turn hah. But yep, that's a 1.3/2h warrior left. Combat log:
I always love a good sea of green. Anyways, it was a healing turn in the north vs Nakor as all my Rifles are pretty shot up. He does have some boats in his front cities:
He has some Frigates now, so I'll need to be more mindful of covering my Galleons so I don't lose Rifles that way - that would be really dumb. Still, even that force is hardly intimidating. Also, if Regopin takes this it would be the scummiest of all scummy moves:
I have just an archer defending that city. I purposely did not upgrade him just to dare them to take the shot. If they raze that city, I will sue for peace on Nakor/Brick, shift all military to Regopin, and just mindlessly throw things at them until they concede to Krill
. The main reason it would be scummy is they are giving me two happies as a result of the tech trade, and that was just a few turns ago, so that would be the second time they've ripped me off on a resource deal, and that would make the leap from shady (the last one) to outright scum IMO.
(Note: They did NOT do it, although I don't actually know if they have units on that thing... However it looks awfully threatening to just randomly "scout" with a Galleon for land that you already have a map of, so it certainly looks like poking for an attack. I've shifted a couple Frigates so I can sink Galleons if needed)
