You look down at your hands, shaking and covered with blood. Matt Dirkstab, or the heap of meat that used to be Matt, lies on the floor. Even the sole objector to this gruesome group-murder is covered with gore. Matt had always seemed a little unhinged, stabbing himself first of all while calmly explaining it was the best way to protect the king. What followed...well, it was at least cathartic. Fishing around the gistle and splinters of bone, you see Matt's dogtag. Oops. Looks like he was a good guy. Suicidal, but a good guy.
