WW16: The Outlaws and The Olives

I'm not saying he doesn't care about the outcome, but as far as going back and digging through all the posts that have happened - I don't think he's done that. That's what I mean my lazy, that he doesn't want to go back and re-read, or when he does it's very quick.

Huh, guess I'm agreeing with Lewwyn on his point about waterbat being lackadaisical...

At least someone agrees with me. I`m on my phone in the middle of class so I can`t answer you yet pindi, but i did want to stateonce again that from what i read waterbat is village. He hasn`t been a great contributor, but then I simply haven`t seen scum. Just go back and read his post the first day, he`s all excited then he loses steam as it progresses like he realizes that its going to be hard work in this game to keep up his cleric persona. For a wolf it doesn`t make sense to simply drop it.

waterbat was also 2nd to vote for the mattimeo last-hour push... Not just voting for it, but actively cheerleading for it at the end of day 4

gaspar - would like to see your research, even if it is half-done

So I have a bit of free time during office hours now and I'll try to be quick, but I wanted to answer why I felt this was bull pindi since I did promise:
pindicator Wrote:I also am tempted to vote lewwyn for trumpeting me as one of his top suspects all game, but when push comes to shove he says i am a mystery and can only come up with a post that has been hashed over already in the past.

I'm not as worked up about it as I was last night, but I still feel a bit of that self-righteous fire.

Night 2:

Lewwyn Wrote:
pindicator Wrote:Lewwyn, it's time to wake up. Figuratively, not literally
Are you looking for me to clear you? Lead a bandwagon someplace else? I don't think I've stated my opinion on your innocence yet, but I actually haven't made up my mind. The case against you seems mostly to hinge on you Day 1 vote and whether you were getting cold feet or whether you were trying to save a wolf. I'm on the fence I can see you doing either. As such, I'm not pursuing a lynch against you. Will I look to go after someone else tomorrow? Likely. I plan to do a summation of thoughts after work today, so we'll see.

Lewwyn Wrote:-I mentioned earlier that I'm not getting a good enough read on Pindicator either way. As I stated earlier, I'm not willing to base it on whether I think one action is more scummy than another. I'm willing to wait, or at least in case I'm dead, willing to have the village give him a few more days to prove his innocence before making a final judgement

Both of these posts occur on Night 2 after your eventful Day 2. A day in which if you go back and look I never really commented on you because of the above stated reasons.

DO you know the next time I even talked about your innocent or guilt?

Day 5:

Lewwyn Wrote:
Injera Wrote:Whoops, this came out wrong. Day 3 Catwalk and Mero votes were more or less randomly distributed between Day 4 Matt voters. Day 2, however, all pindicator votes were from Mattimeo voters, while all Ichabod voters were from non-Matt voters, and Sareln voters were all over the place.

I've done pretty poorly this game trying to read between the lines as opposed to just looking at what's in front of me, so pindicator.
Interesting to me too. I'm willing to start on Pindicator and see where that shakes out.

Today is weird. I think watching who votes for who will be a good indication of who's more suspicious of less suspicious.

So, waterbat, if you're wondering who's in cahoots... gonna have to see how things shake out with other voters. I am particularly interested to see what Selrahc has to say and almost voted there first.

That's where i voted for you on Day 5. Does "I'm going to start on pindicator and see what shakes out" scream top suspect to you? I did stay on you a bunch Day 5, but I ultimately landed on Ichabod. Day 5 is the only Day I voted for you. More from Day 5:

Lewwyn Wrote:<snip>
So where does that leave me. Confused about Gaspar. I think Gaspar is reacting to my vote on him earlier. I didn't put a lot of reasoning into the vote against him other than "I knew him". So he responds with a full attack because... he thinks I'm blending? Ehhhhh. No, I'm playing three blind mice. Poke three people with a stick and see how the run. Pindi, Gaspar and Azza.
<snip>

Currently I'm looking at it like this:

Pidicator
Azza
Gaspar

Pidicator only reached top status after this:

pindicator Wrote:Call me crazy, but after re-reading the end of day 1 again (hypocrite, i know)

Catwalk

So for now Pindicator.

This was after I voted for Gaspar and Azza. Out of three people I voted for I stated you top status at that time based on what I found to be a suspicious vote on what I now to believe to be a cleared catwalk. But look at why I even voted for you that day. I say it here that I was poking three people to see what they'd do. After this I voted for Ichabod to end the day. Then Day 6 we lynch Molach. Yesterday I put you on a list of people that I don't trust.

So let's review. I said I couldn't get a read on you Day 2. I poked you on day 5 and found you suspicious for voting on Catwalk. I mention that you are not high on my trust list. And today I explain that part of the reason I don't trust you is because you're still a mystery to me. You say I've been trumpeting you all game long. So do you consider Day 5 and Night 6 to be all game long?

Just go on waterbat's web thingy and hit my name. Then use the find function on "pind" cycle through all of my posts and you'll see that the above posts are the sum total of my thoughts, defenses and accusations toward you. I've barely paid attention to you through 4 Days and Nights, poked you Day 5 and then said I don't really know enough to trust you. So yeah I'm calling bullshit pindi because you are either not paying attention or are purposefully misrepresenting me.

While my whiskers got burned a little yesterday, I'm going to retract my previous statement about staying away from Azza. Provided that novice, Lewwyn and myself are villagers (by no means proven, I'm still leaning that way personally), it's not all that unlikely that two wolves were on the block. There was strong pressure on both candidates which had been building for days. Molach was a lost case and Azza's only chance for survival, voting to hang him doesn't clear him IMO. I stand by my earlier points about Azza's scum tells, and I don't think yesterday changed any of them. Even if novice is scum, hanging Molach (wolf with really bad cover) in order to save Azza (wolf with considerably better cover) still makes sense.

I also noticed Ichabod wobbling from Azza to Molach with very weird reasoning, almost as if he thought I was defending Azza. Not sure what to make of it, but it definitely stood out to me. Whether villager or scum, it seems Ichabod wasn't paying all that much attention to the situation. Should Azza turn out to be scum, I think that might implicate Ichabod a bit (having to choose between two different wolves and watching the scum's game plan disintegrate would be demotivating).

You've done an excellent job of blending in, so attempts to pressure you have been shrugged off.

I'm not sure you can call a wolf Azza any less of a lost cause than a wolf Molach, at least not prior to Molach's flip.

I'm unconvinced by Waterbat's defense so I'll keep my vote on him.
I have to run.

I agree that "somewhat decent cover" may be overstating it, but between my crusade and yours it's obvious that yours had a lot more traction. Noone was really defending Molach, just giving him a little more time to get active. Whereas a lot of support was given in defense of Azza at various times. If one wolf had to be chosen for a rescue attempt, Azza was the obvious choice.

Regardless of that, both were being crusaded against (you on Molach, me on Azza). If both are scum, I don't see any way for wolves to reliably bring up a third candidate. You were adamant on Molach, I was quite set on Azza too, and both candidates had traction. That makes me reluctant to give Azza town cred for helping to lynch Molach.

Want to apologize for being useless, work came out of nowhere and hit me with a figurative 2x4, I haven't had to time get online for anything this weekend.

In the interim, I have just enough time to say that I remain unconvinced by the Waterbat push who seems awfully lynchbait-y all of a sudden. I don't have enough time to be more useful than that, I'll try and get at it before the deadline but no promises, I'll definitely have time for that as well as my much-overhyped treatise on previous lynchbait.

Anyway, Selrahc - at the moment I'm reading both candidates villagery.
