[SPOILERS] Tatan, CFCJester and Nakor try their hand at Mansu of India...

We might want a second worker before a second WB.
How about chopping out a second worker, then a warrior, then chop-whip settler and then build a second WB?

Ended turn.
That works pretty good actually. Still fine tuning but we'll definitely want to work corn + lake till the worker whip.

Okay we can have a settler ready to move out T39. Adjusted micro...
Quote:T11 - T19 work corn + lake
T20 BW comp.; tech Agri next (10t); adopt Slavery; whip worker into WB (14OF); work corn
T21 wkr comp. - moves 1 NW and chops (3t); WB in 16t
T22 work lake
T23 chop comp.
T24 move WB to fish; wkr moves 1N; grow on warrior
T25 work fish; wkr chops (3t)
T27 FoF @ sz 2; work fish + corn; switch build to worker; chop comp. and goes into worker (6t)
T28 Agri comp.; tech The Wheel next (8t); wkr moves 1 E and chops (3t)
T30 chop comp.; worker finishes in 1t
T31 move both wkrs to corn; finish warrior (1t)
T32 wkrs farm corn (5t); settler in 14t
T34 farm finishes; one worker can still move; settler in 10t (2 more chops to complete)
So we have 2 workers, 2 warriors and a settler.

Hey we got silver. Probably need to heal up the scout in our borders before exploring north (otherwise jungle panther might kill him)...[Image: pb8t12.jpg][Image: pb8t12a.jpg]
I went ahead and ended turn.

I logged in, moved the scout back into our border to heal in preparation for going north, and ended turn.

Ended turn. Shouldn't we be working 2 sea tiles to get BW a turn earlier?

It makes no important difference. Both end up Pottery in 4t, FoF 3t until sz 3, 27t for WB and settler comp. on t39. Getting BW 1 turn earlier means 2nd warrior comes before worker, instead of after worker. We don't seem to need the extra warrior before the worker. Either way is fine though.

EDIT: 4th time's a charm. We can work unimproved seafood + lake on T16, T17, T18 to get BW a turn earlier (T19) and we will then get the settler on T38 (2nd warrior following turn). Just needed the right amount of OF into the WB.

We also have another option...

The other tests assumed we wanted 2nd warrior before 2nd settler (well one was with warrior immediately following) resulting in T38 settler. We can get the settler on T37 but delay the warrior. Probably worth it imo. The only thing I did different is chop the GHF first (instead of the PF). If we do have close copper then maybe we might want the warrior first to escort the settler.

Looks like we can go Settler before Warrior (if no barbs appear).

The south is ours to settle, so our first settler can go there to get the worker/settler pump ready.
But our next settlers should go north to block off more land for us.

Looking at this amount of sea and coastal cities, we might want to consider The Great Lighthouse.
We've got Masonry, so all we have to do is tech Sailing after Pottery (we want a Lighthouse in FoF for sure) and chop TGL.

I tweaked the micro to whip settler so that the warrior can complete T38 - we'll be safe from barbs. I like the idea of TGL and we could go Sailing after TW then Pottery (or even Sailing->Pottery probably better). I'll do some testing. smile

Just a quick test...

I did go Agri->Sailing->TW->Pottery. Second city was 1t late (no roads) but we still got instant TR (Sailing finished same turn settler did ie. T37). Second warrior followed. This is just a starting point and we should be able to shave a turn or two off (maybe not whip settler?)

What do you think Nakor? Is ~T56 GLH safe with the roster of opponents? Fail gold would hamper expansion a little but I'm game to try if you are.
