Claimed, btw.
I want to build that tourist info-point at the waterfall, Harmless Girlishbridge died at.
Then re-activate my previous adventurer to do stuff.

A rough plan on how this tourist attraction will look like exists and the dwarves are busy digging and constructing.
{Unfortunately, the actual waterfall still resides in nearby village site map, so is not part of my local fortress site map here. However I can just see the weapons that were left behind at the top of the cliff and of course the clothes in the water.}
A few months into the construction and the working team realizes that not only are the cliffs dangerous but also the wildlife:
And the damn beast can climb stairs!
Run away, run away!

Tourist attraction "Lenswash" done.
Here a rough overview:
I won't spoil much, in case people want to explore the site themselves.

Is that a diving board you have over the river?

I have reactivated Harmless Beerjewels in Breechesspring.
Interestingly he has some new clothes now, including a copper breastplate.
I ask around for quests and get tasked with killing 3 wives of the bleak creature in the crypts of dying!
By chance I find a lair of a Giant Hyena.
Since I am a legendary sneak, I throw stones at the beast without revealing myself. Lots of stones. my throwing skills are not very good yet, so I miss a lot.
But eventually the beast is bruised all over the body and starts to retch.
I sneak in to whip it to death!
...
Long travel to Soarfinds in the south of the empire.
I find three companions (a dwarf, a goblin and a human).
And we are off to kill those three wives of the bleak creature!

We find the lair of the bleak creatures. A little mound.
I sneak into the door and are overwhelmed by the mess. There is literally blood and meat and bones and skulls everywhere. Further some stained clothes, armour, knives and forks and cleavers, lots of coins!
Dwarven remains, elvish remains, human remains. What a slaughterhouse!
And there they are a complete bleak creature family. I count at least 11 creatures including a couple of child, I believe.
The fight starts. And it is a massacre! Eventually all three of my companions die, while we kill 9 bleak creatures.
Two are left and I sneak next to one to slash at it with my knife. But I miss and get spotted and the creature gets a lucky kick against my head and I am dead!
I only got a couple of bruises from the fight so far and then just one kick against the head. Aaaaah! Frustrating! Too confident.
Anyway. Made a name of myself here, but did not have the chance to hand back in the quests (I must have killed at least two of the three wives). Tons of loot in The Crypts of Dying, including hundreds of coins (foreign gold coins as well) and of course the famous iron whip that has served two Harmlesses already.
I think next hero adventurer has to go on an avenge & retrieve mission.

Played around with the map and the height map of the local region.
Here is the result:
EDIT:
And a version with less pronounced heights. Looks more natural, I think.
The Slippery Confederation at the top (background).
The Harmless Strait and the Girlishbridge would be to the right.
The Canyons are in the right foreground. Note the system of really high waterfalls there.

That's really cool. What did you use to make it?
I have to run.
