Ok, edited. I also removed "probably", just to make it definite.
If you know what I mean.

New version works well. As Pling suggest Copper tile could be better landmark for them so that sentence could be edited to refer there.

I'll try to get HAK on chat before sending this. He is probably sleeping for few more hours so there is still time to comment. I've 2 subjects to discuss:
* Make sure we can settle the city in the middle of the map
* Telling them about our NAP negotiations and tell them our goal is T105-120 (Naturally it wouldn't be exactly T110)

Be clear that we won't sign anything with Gillette before they say it's OK. Also tell them that if they try to insist on the same NAP date as us, that might give them more leverage in negotiations. Just to ward off any impression they might have that we're selling them out.
If you know what I mean.

I would cut the sentence about our sparse dotmap. That just paints ourselves as greedy land-grabbers.
I have to run.

Agreed. Say this instead:

Chat with HAK. Things are progressing nicely. They signing NAP until T100 and us T105 is good for us and there is even a chance that we get better deal when negotiating 1st with Gillette than M3 will get. Other Marble is also close by. Getting monopoly of it would be very nice, but not sure we can really claim it without stepping on too many toes.
Quote:me: hi
hitanykey: hey, g'morning.
me: afternoon - just couple of things. 1st your cities that will be relatively close to us. Would it be ok to agree upon settling rights near the center. I don't know if you've scouted all of it, but there are horses near it and we would like to settle 1S of them. Would that be ok to you?
hitanykey: We are only just starting to get a scout into the center for exploring. So we haven't seen much of anything in there yet.
me: ok - but your city will be pretty close to it
Well we can come back to this, but it would be good to have a talk, if you plan a city that would be more central than the one you're now planting
hitanykey: yeah, we'll certainly talk later. I don't see any horses at all in any of our screenshots. So we can't see the area you are talking about yet
where is that spot in relation to where I let you know we are settling our next city?
like, is it straight north of the Marble or something?
me: It is west from the marble, but now I'm not quite certain we're talking about same marble
The marble I'm meaning is 4*NW-N from our city of Bitter
hitanykey: Oh, yeah, not talking about that one at all.
me: And the horses I'm talking are 2*W-SW from the marble
hitanykey: I'm talking about the one that is 2NW-2W from the second city you founded.
don't remember it's name
the city that's closest to gillette
me: ok - We haven't mapped that on yet. It is Bloody Mary
hitanykey: ah, ok. so that means we're not even close to settling in the same diretion as each other yet.
me: Yeah
Typical. Should always use map to avoid misunderstandings
hitanykey: yup. heh
me: So will the marble be in your BFC?
hitanykey: Nope.
me: Gillette has a city there?
hitanykey: Nope.
me: ok
hitanykey: The Marble is closest to you. On your side of a lake
me: Our current deal prevents us settling there
hitanykey: In the image we sent you of Gillette land....
The Marble is on the tile NE-N of the Sheep.
me: I think it supposed to be contested by you and Gillette
It is pretty far from our capital
hitanykey: yeah, probably.
anyway, I gotta get ready for work. so need to afk now.
me: My other thing
Gillette has activated, but we can continue later
hitanykey: What has Gillette activated?
me: Discussion concerning NAP
Our current one is ending so they want a new one
hitanykey: Ah. Right. We probably need to start talking to them too.
Was gonna try to get a message out as soon as we get this next city made.
me: So is it ok, if we sign one e.g. until T105? I don't see us doing much militarily before that
hitanykey: Maybe will try to send a basic starting message while are work today.
me: To Gillette?
It would be good idea to sync NAPs. Only problem is that, if we both suggest T105 our close relationship will be pretty obvious to them
hitanykey: I don't see an issue with that. I think we'll want to try to sign a nap too.
me: If you can you could try to sign one until T100 so that they would be a bit staggered
But still quite close
hitanykey: Yea. That's what I was thinking
me: Good - So I'll send our response and suggest a NAP until T105 to them

Edited the message a little and this was sent to Gillette:
Quote:Hello to you, close shavers!
First of all, we have enjoyed our years of peace and would like to maintain a peaceful front in the future as well. So thanks for taking the lead and bringing a concrete suggestion to the table.
We eventually decided to plant with the gold in the first ring, because we really needed the extra happiness online ASAP. We had already delayed it for much too long, due to our war with TEAM.
About your suggested settlement plan. It would be acceptable to us with a minor change in the south. We would like to settle a city 1E of the ivory, conflicting with your southern dot. That would be our border city in the area, though, so you could settle the rest of that western peninsula as you see fit. Way up in the north, beyond your screenshot, we would also like to settle one more city, 5N of our copper mine west from city of Bloody Mary (city NE from your capital). We think this is a fair border, and hope you'll accept it. We haven't given much thought on NAP duration yet; let's get to details after we are in agreement about the borders. Tentatively T105 would seem quite right.
How do you feel about this?
Best regards,
Tropical Trolls

Ok, so there is marble right outside our borders then:
I guess we should make sure to mention that we're generously leaving the marble uncontested, if Gillette is unhappy with our proposal.
We could certainly make a bolder claim in this area, if we wanted to be greedy.
If you know what I mean.

If I remember right, TEAM thought there were only 2 Marbles on the map. Looking at the placement I don't think I believe that though - they look more like there's one between every pair of civs.
