It will be interesting to see what comes out on top. Bulbing Currency or MC.
Keep in mind that we probably won't be building a lot of Forges and probably only a few triremes since we're busy expanding like rabbits in the next 50 turns. My instinct is that we'll get more research out of a Currency bulb but more power out a MC bulb.... interesting choice.
Serdoa plays De Gaulle of Maya (Ind/Cha, Holkan, Ball Court)
+2 happiness, cheap Forges and cheap wonders.
Serdoa is a good player who has solid micro and good warfare skills. He got Oracle, so must have simmed it a lot to get the best date for it. He is one of the contestants in this game, if he can keep things together untill the end. His mid-game is not the best, where his early game is great. Let's try to keep him on our good side.
Space plays Churchill of Portugal (Cha/Pro, Carrack, Feitoria)
Cheap Granaries and +2 happiness, cheaper Feitoria's.
Space is one of the new players and I find it hard to rate him.
I'm not that scared of him and he might be a good target should we try to attack with Maces/Cats.

I looked at some of your previous threads so I knew you were quite good at mp Civ...this post just proves it..my mission is for team Three Amigos to win...our head Honcho just happens to be Nakor (don't want any misonceptions about the game's reality...Nakor you want to be Chevy Chase? I love Chevy... SNL sucks without him). I got your back bro...team Three Amigos FTW!

Glad that this pitboss is interesting enough so that you can give the Three Amigos some good insight and advice. Well thanks Right back at you I'm very happy to be part of this team and to be able to learn stuff about MP from all of you and Nakor especially.
If you guys think it's safe to skip MC, fine. I'm sure Serdoa oracled MC for the cheap forges and the possible GE built Pyramids as well. But if he's a good player, as Nakor pointed out, he must be planning something in order to capitalize on his trireme monopoly. We can only hope that he has a better target.

Thanks, Jester, but don't overestimate me. I'm not that good. Just had good teammates, like in this game.
As far as I'm concerned, we're a democracy and if you guys have better plans, let's go for it! If we all do our best, I'm sure we can play an interesting part in this game.
Regarding Serdoa, we must convince him that there are better targets for him to pursue should he go for a war orientated strategy. And it looks like we're pretty far apart (scouting will tell), so let's not worry to much about what he could do to us but focus on what we can do to get our snowball roling.
From all the post I think we can deduct that going Mono - IW is set in stone. After that probably Maths - Monarchy.
Then the Currency bulb and teching towards either MC and/or CoL/CS.
Let's leave the top of the three to others for now. I don't see us getting any wonders there and it just doesn't fit with our strategy.

Another turn passed.
Not a lot of new scouting info, so we'll get a picture next turn.
It would be worth it to make contact with Space (for Tech bonusses). Maybe we can do that from the north to keep him guessing.
We whipped the settler for our 4th city.
We really do need a bit more military once those horses are connected. And at least 1 more worker before more setters.
Are we sending one of the workers north with the settler?

T68 demos...
Some more micro to look over... Quote:T69 Monotheism comp.; tech IW next; switch into OR; wkr 1 moves 1 NW and puts 1t into chop; CG - settler comp. and moves towards 4th city site; build granary
T70 wkr 1 moves 1 NW and cottages (4t); pasture comp.; SM work horse
T71 FoF @ sz 5 - add corn (growth in 3t); granary comp.; build warrior (2t); wkr 2 roads horse (2t)
T72 road comp.
T73 FoF - warrior comp.; build WB; cottage comp.; wkr 2 moves 1 SW and finishes road (1t)
>> CG @ sz 3 - add mine
T74 FoF @ sz 6 - add cottage (growth to happy cap in 2t); wkr 2 moves to 4th city site; wkr 1 moves 1W and cottages (4t)
T75 found CC; build granary
T76 FoF @ sz 7 - work fish+crab+cottage+3 lake+PH mine (speed up IW by 1t)
T77 IW comp.; tech (e.g. Writing) next; FoF - WB comp. and nets crab; work fish+2 crab+corn+cottage+mine+PH mine; build settler (5t); cottage comp.
>> SM switch build to chariot
T78 CG @ sz 4 - add cottage; wkr 1 moves 1 SW and mines
>> SM - whip chariot
So far, the live save is behaving exactly like the sandbox. I fully expect the barb warrior to appear next turn on the pig tile and suicide on our fortified warrior the following turn. We have the warrior from FoF to clear the way for the settler in tandem with the other one. The FoF warrior will head to the pig tile afterwards to prevent barbs from spawning while the settler moves into final position. This gives us the time we need to get a chariot out on the field.
The two grass cottages will be able to be worked continuously. Both FoF and CG will be able to 2 pop whip production tiles while keeping food tiles and the cottages. We're going to need a mish for CC since it is highly unlikely we'll get a spread in time (I haven't gotten a free spread yet in my sims ) although we could build a monument I suppose. CC will be a great commerce city so we want to cottage up the FPs asap. IW will be researched in time to at least start chopping the jungle (followed by cottaging) while we wait on a border pop.
Thoughts?

Are we sending one of the workers north with the settler? I take a long time to post. I definitely think sneaking around and contacting Space from the north would be a good idea. We could easily do worker then settler from FoF. Wkr 2 will be heading up north after finishing hooking up the improved horse tile.

Mabe we can 1 pop whip a Worker in FoF and overflow into a missionary?
We need that worker before the 4th settler (that settler can come from CG as well).
And we really don't want to build a monument.
We should plan on building a Temple and run a Priest Speciast for our Shrine as well....
So much to do...

So much to do... We could just skip the granary in CG for now and build a mish instead. Tbh, the mish is probably more important right now. Quote:T69 CG - build mish
T73 CG - 1 pop whip mish into worker
T74 CG - worker in 7t
This would get hindu spread to CC on T78. FoF should still build the next settler but we would have the worker from CG done on the same turn (T81). If we decide on Writing after IW, FoF is able to 2 pop whip the settler into a library since we would also finish Writing T81.
