So we all went to bed, but I triple locked my door, didn't wanna take any chances with those snitches running waround. And sure enough, bout 2 in the morning I heard a shot from across the hotel. I sure as hell wasn't gonna go see who it was though. Strangest thing, I get up in the morning, and yeah someone's dead, but it's the freaking mayor! Dead at his own celebration party! And even worse, when they had looked in his room, they found papers from the feds! That damned sellout. Doesn't make sense why he died last night, but eh, good for us in the long run. Rot in peace you rat.

Bigger was killed. He was a snitch. He was holding the Padlock & Key.

Serdoa, do you still think we should destroy the fool card?

Depends. If the vest did got shot by the vig than you have no proof that I am a villager. If there was no nightkill by the wolves though, than you have proof that I am a villager and killing me would make no sense, as you have enough information (that you didn't have with novice).

Also, of course only as long as you have no better leads.

As for the berry-thing: I guess the answer is obvious, of course the red one. But despite having a higher chance of eating a non-poisonous berry if I take the red-one I would still not KNOW if the berry in question is non-poisonous. And if I die due to poison, it doesn't help me that in 50% of the cases I shouldn't have, because I am still dead. Obviously DEATH is giving a shit on probabilities.

Well, the point is that you will die more often if you choose randomly between the blue and the red berry than if you act on the information that 90% of blue berries are poisonous and choose the red berry. Which is why IMO the 90% reliable seer is still valuable.

Of course you could have other evidence - maybe the red berry is very large and you know that 99% of all large berries are poisonous. In that case you should probably eat the blue berry.
I have to run.

Quote:actually you changed your opinion on the Vigi shot and went back to thinking its to risky to use after I questioned you about changing your opinion

Ryan, villagers can change their minds about things.

Here is my opinion line on the vig issue, as far as I remember it:
1. Vig shot is very risky in this format. Let's not use it.

After a few days thought I moved onto:

2. Not using the vig shot is giving up a very powerful weapon. Here are some ideas on how we can minimize risk, and possibly be able to use this weapon. Not quite good enough yet, but I think it's workable. Anybody have ideas?

This (2) is the position I'm currently taking. We haven't had any discussion of further safeguards, and I haven't thought of anything extra, so at the moment I'm against its use.

Does this answer your question?
