After that little marathon, a hot toddy was more useful than a cold drink. And it did improve my attitude.
The world outside my window is bright white for the nonce and it does look more like what my memories of childhood Christmas' say are right.

Hi,

*sigh* I envy you, despite the work it caused you. Here, as every year, it was cold with prospects of snow until three days ago, now it's 10 degrees Celsius again. We plan to do a walk with friends the day after tomorrow through the forests and hills that are just outside our house, with beautiful views on the Rhine (wait until RBP has opened up ), and really had hoped for snow. But all we will probably get is rain and mud.
Better than a hot Christmas like Smegged is experiencing, though, IMHO.

And I envy you
If I want to go for an interesting walk, I have to drive for a bit first.

I agree, but to each his own, as the saying goes.
In a different scenario, it is like fighters in the Diablo world that do not rely on armor. Maybe they like the loose feeling, the better view, or whatever the reason may be.
Some might just like to be edgy like that. If they get hurt, fine, but they would rather follow their standards.
I think your activity is awesome, Doc. It is probably not something I will participate in, but from an observer's view, it is awesome.

How about them apples? They say they do not fall far from the tree, and that one can spoil the whole bunch. Well I say we may not all be rotten, but we are all spoiled.

Hi all. I joined the RB Guildwars team, so I thought I would register over here and check out the forums.
But Doc! Why mix your sports? Dodge ball and target shooting should not be mixed in my book. At least you could aim the ducks to hurtle past you to the left or right about 5 feet. That way, it would be the odd duck that would cook your goose, or honk your honker, as it were.
Then again, in my younger days I was a steer wrestler, sky diver, ski racer, and learned how to drive by watching Dukes of Hazzard. But, even then I had my limits. There was no way I was ever going to ride on an intentionally bucking, angry horse or bull. Even so those critters sent me to the hospital a half a dozen times.
Maybe once my kids are grown I will once again pick up the mantle of extreme sports, and vicarious living.

Good to see a new face here. Enjoy your stay
I have created a DEN for you and PM'd your login info. Hope you will take advantage of it. If you haven't been to the RBGW site yet this Link would be a good place to start.
