While we're waiting for the game to get reloaded is it alright if I log in and move my scout so that I can start planning out the opening? I'll obviously make the same movement upon reload. It won't be popping any huts so this should be ok, right?

Good question ... the only bans I remember were war elephants (except for Khmer), plus civic/religion swapping as the only spy/espionage bans. Is this correct?
Yup War Elephants for all but Khmer, and the civic/religion swapping espionage missions were the only bans imo.
Shall we turn the turn timer down to 20 in-game hours to reflect 24 real life hours after this turn?

I would again encourage the game organizer to compile all the settings to one post, and decide on the rules that we did not set yet. Things like the timer, reloads, pauses, double moves, sending passes, having a game admin etc. Players have had enough time to let themselves be heard. We don't need to vote on everything, just choose based on the answers you did get.
In terms of general settings,
No War Elephants allowed - except for Khmer No Religion/Civic Switching Spy Missions AI Diplo only - with added 'declare war on' and 'stop trading with' text Double Moves - be honourable please! Timer - Down to 22 hours to reflect 26-28 reality hours Trading - All trade proposals should be screenshotted and posted in respective spoiler threads Pauses - auto-pause of up to 24 hours if a turn is unplayed and 1 hour is left on the timer if first offence. If second offence, 12 hours. If third, no pause. If its done a fourth time in a month then a replacement/teammate needs to be found. Offences wipe after 2 months. I'd also say anyone can request a pause of up to 24 hours if they give notice before they will miss their turn and provide a reason. Things crop up some times and I'd rather be flexible than lose people because of bad luck. If someone is thought to be abusing the pause rule, a player (or the game admin if there is one) can ask for a vote for the person to be replaced. A majority vote will carry. Game Admin - if someone wants to volunteer then fantastic. They can then act as an arbiter on abuse of pauses/break of rules --------------------------------------- Look at those settings - if there's problems, propose solutions. I've had a pig of a week so I'm taking the weekend to chill so I may not be on here much. Unless there are better suggestions to any of this by Monday, these will become the rules. The timer can be changed now though - as there is no negotiating on that.
