[spoilers] Commodore: Worse than Toku, it's Giggles of Siam!

So I logged into game to see if T&A had been built yet....

and was greeted with:

After 5 minutes worth of Alt-Tabbing out of game to get Firefox up, and some chatting with Commodore.....

We now have another city and 10t worth of peace with the Zulu.

Good Luck guys!. thumbsup

(and I still have no idea if T&A has been built yet)

T&A is still up for grabs.

Once Poly is in we could make a half hearted attempt at it in the capital. If we get it: +2 commerce, +1 h and +1 gold are kind of meh. But +2 GM and +3 GP GPPs per turn could prove useful. GP for a maybe shrine if we somehow manage to bag Philo, or a Gage. Nice either way. GM trade mission cash can fund a lot of tech or upgrades (assuming the GM doesn't get Krilled along the way wink )

If we don't get it: 2:1 hammer to gold conversion is always nice. Especially at this point in the game, when we're looking to grab key econ techs asap. wink

I swapped Hawk Ridge (the island city) over to Wealth rather than a Library. Not so much as I think we need the Wealth this turn as I think we need a Market before Lib here. Building Wealth for a turn preserves the overflow pending decsion.

My thinking: We currently have a free happy cap of 8 (once the whip anger subsides). At size 8 working Horses, Hamlet, Fish and 5 lighthoused coast we produce 20 commerce.

Market gives +2 happy = 4 commerce from +2 worked Coast tiles at size 10. = 25% boost to commerce yeild at any slider setting. +25% gold when banking.

Lib gives +25% (4 b) at 100 tech.

We break even at ~30%.

Market is pricier, but is worth more than the lib atm.

(btw: This would make an excellent Moai city once we can afford the stone city. wink )

In the meantime, nothing wrong with gold in the bank right effing now. wink

Grabbing T&A almost always causes a war declaration in a no-talking environment.

I still haven't learned all the abbreviations yet. Most I can figure out based on the context ... but what's T&A please

Given that we've just accepted a city named "In and Out" as part of a peace treaty......

I think I'll just leave that well enough alone tyvm. lol

ToA = Temple of Artemis. T & A? That's a quest from another game.

That's what I thought at first because of Poly tech and ...

But then wouldn't ToA be the proper abbreviation? Plus why would Temple of Artemis generally lead someone to DOW?
