ok, I have to rethink now. Ichabod may be 3rd on my list. Lewwyn presents a pretty damning case against novice.
hmm, guess there's no room to polcy lynch jkaen. Really hope we "wakes up" to find he is a villager, if he mysteriously becomes a scum its going to be hard to kill him.
screw it, lets go for big game.
novice
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
But those posts are exactly what Tasunke had been putting out all game: Meiz & Gaspar are a wolf pair, and no reasoning behind it. Why were those posts the ones that triggered alarm bells when you said he looked village for doing the same thing earlier?
@Azza -
It isn't night time already, is it?
@Ichabod -
Been wondering when you were going to make that vote.
Have you got more accusations or just the same ones from before where you were misrepresenting what I did? So far I've got:
* Comparing me to Gazglum as an over-simplification of my post / easy manipulation of my changed posting style due to my restriction, and
* Saying I forgot who i suspected when what I did was mix up the timing of what post I started to suspect certain people in.
@novice-
Why change on Ichabod? You had him in your town list then you vote for him?
@Lewwyn -
I actually think novice is town. And that post at the end of day 1 is something that novice has said before in previous games.
As for the "find scum through town tells", I have no problem with novice approaching the problem that way. It's a very good exercise for everyone to do in absence of definitive scum tells: look back and who looks the most helpful for the village and then look closer at the people who you saw were least helpful. That's how I got you the last time you were scum, so I'm more curious about the timing of you going after him so hard after he becomes the first person to put you down as suspicious.
Cross-Post Insert: Wait, am I agreeing with Ichabod about Lewwyn? Damn it Ichabod, don't do that to me. Stuff like this makes me think you are just misguided town / makes me doubt my hunch on Lewwyn.
I've been looking at the Tasunke-Gaspar interplay on day 1. Spoilered for length, and b/c I'd do it in a separate post if I didn't have a need to ration my posting.
Anyway, reading the Tasunke - Gaspar back and forth on Day 1, I'm a little unsettled by it. We all know how much a risk-taker Tasunke is as a villager; I can't see him being much different as a wolf. We can see that Tasunke hits Gaspar with some pretty weak arguments:
(February 1st, 2013, 19:34)Tasunke Wrote: Bah. What I was SAYING was that I might not want Zakalwe to DIE so SOON! bah. Wolves, hear me out. Don't kill him (or me for that matter). Well fuck that, go ahead and kill me cause yall NEVER EVER DO IT!!! NYANYANYANYANYAAAAAA ... go head. I DARE YOU TO!!!!!!
Anyways Gaspar, after my vote I had realized that it had put him in first place. I know its early day but still ... kinda freaked me out I guess. But your right. If I want HIM to live. I must place my vote ELSEWHERE.
WELL NOW. Guess where it will go ... hmm? Thats right, Im thinking GaSpAR 's head would look pretty good on a pike right now. >: )
Then he ties Meiz into Gaspar, and the part that unsettles me is that I can't tell where Tasunke makes that leap. His next post is:
(February 2nd, 2013, 15:05)Tasunke Wrote: I think Meiz, Flug_auto, and Gaspar all look scummy. But ... I dunno. I feel like Flug_auto is a set-up of some kind. Not sure which. Just doesn't feel right imho. There are about 7 wolves this game right? Hmm, or maybe 2 packs of 4, or 3 packs of (2-3) ... guess it depends on how strong the powers are. I'm not sure. But I feel like this is the perfect recipe for a multi-faction game. Imma gettin paranoid just thinkin a bout it. So I dunno ... its hard to say.
Due to Gaspar's heavy RP, at least early on (go Italiano go!) I'm thinking he is more likely the wolf but .... which wolf? of which pack? Can we get a confirm of how many alignments are in the game? If its mentioned somewhere I apologize, must have just missed it.
Anyways, Meiz seems like a good place for a vote, but I dunno, should we vote Gaspar instead? He'd be a pretty scary wolf imho, while I haven't much experience with a Meiz wolf (at least not that I can remember). Anyways, I think we should hang him high ... Gaspar that is. Cause I don't wanna see a Gaspar wolf let loose. >_>
(maybe we can kill at least one wolf of one of the packs ... or the one big one, or hell, I don't even know >_< )
Tas was 2 for 2 in his calls in this post. What are the odds that he's pulling some kind of "A wolf would never do that" stunt and is actually 3 for 3?
He switches between Meiz and Gaspar the rest of the day, and then on Day 2 when we find Gaspar was scum, he just leaps into the Meiz - Gaspar connection. But it bugs me that he never argues why they're a scum pair, just that they are one. As if he's counting on us to dismiss him for just being Tasunke. But he mentions them both as suspects in practically every single post he makes. That just seems over the top. He isn't even trying to drum up a case, he's just saying "I think they're a scum pair" over and over again. Check him out in the scraper:
So yes, the unsettling part is about Meiz. I think Meiz's reasoning for killing Tasunke today is far worse than MJW's reasoning for killing Tasunke last game. ( @ Tasunke being day-vigged in two straight games.) It seems more like Azza's reveals when he was scum: done for his own benefit rather than the town's.
I went back and tried to find where Meiz honestly suspected Tasunke.
(Tip: Search for "Tas" since that's what Meiz shortens Tasunke's name to. 25 occurances, shouldn't take too long to read them.)
He starts with a joke vote on Tasunke. Then shortly after says he likes Tasunke's posting:
(February 2nd, 2013, 01:48)Meiz Wrote: Scary to say, but I kind of like how Tasunke started the game spamming the thread, made me slightly think he'd have no quicktopic, and so would concentrate his posting in here. Minor thing, but something that makes me hesitant to vote him today.
(February 2nd, 2013, 03:36)Meiz Wrote: Ok, I get where you're coming from. Main idea was to vote away from Tas, since I didn't see anything strange in his game compared to his standard play. I mainly wanted to apply pressure and get you to talk. It was not a serious accusation.
There's not much to go on at the moment. I'd say Gaspar and Matt are villagers, since they were unsure who we're hunting for, and it doesn't state that in town pm. Villains could not be sure if the town were told who exactly they are hunting.
(February 2nd, 2013, 11:02)Meiz Wrote: I had nothing major to accuse people of, just a small reason for not voting Tas anymore. Tell me what's the harm in stating the reason for switching my vote away from him?
So he feels the need to explain three times that he just wanted to explain why he wasn't voting Tas any more. And then the next time he mentions Tasunke?
(February 3rd, 2013, 03:43)Meiz Wrote: I'd be really tempted to vote Tasunke, but his posts so far are not surprising me.
Why is he really being tempted to vote Tasunke? He never explains that.
This came right after a Tasunke - Gaspar "fight" where Tasunke is again accusing Meiz & Gaspar without even trying to build a case on either.
Then Day 2:
(February 5th, 2013, 02:19)Meiz Wrote: After reviewing Gaspar's posts, I'd lean villager for Tasunke and Bigger. The impression I'm getting is that Gaspar had a long term plan to continue attacking Bigger for the following days as well, to keep himself active. Tasunke's attacks on Gaspar speak in his favor.
And then he votes for Tasunke, then executes him, giving the explanation that I quoted at the top of this post
Cross-Post Add: Ichabod, I'd like your input on the spoilered part now. Too much tin foil hat?
Pin - thats a really interesting argument for Meiz. Its day 2 though, too early for tin foil conspiracy theories. He did just vig a scum, so i'd just rather pursue stronger leads. the case against novice and molach are both very strong, imo.
I don't get why you suspect Lewwyn at all, tbh.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
I REALLY don't think a scum will day vig another scum. I think the idea that Meiz is scum is ridiculous (Unless he is SK). I mean buss them, sure, that way you at least waste a lynch and a day. But to just kill scum just like that in the middle of the day, early even, and allow the village more time to regroup, reevaluate and make an even better informed lynch decision? That's hugely pro-town.
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
Yeah...I don't like much like Pindicator's argument here. It's not that there COULDN'T be an elaborate conspiracy going on around Meiz, but I think it's much less probable than him being town. I'm willing to give these kind of ideas consideration, but not on Day 2 where there are, to me, much simpler scum tells around - Ichabod's crazy oscillating scumdar or Molach's half-hearted attempts to save Flug for example.
Pindicator, you make almost no case on Lewwyn at all, certainly not one I'm willing to follow you on.
Where I do agree with you - where is Azza? He's slinking around very quietly at the moment (I know there's an element of pot calling the kettle black there, but I'll be posting again tonight).
Yeah, I admit I've been less active than I'd like for day 2, but there wasn't much going on when I was online in the first half of day 2. Just the bandwagon developing on Molach.
I still think Molach is the best lynch at this stage.
